The reason James would lie about that stuff is that he's serving a lot of time and any time he can go to court, that's something interesting for him to do, and it gets him out of prison for a while and gets to eat way better food. It's definitely a tough case. I don't take too much stock in people's reactions. He may have cried at home and didn't want to be emotional with the police. The lying about the second cellphone and it being traced to Brandi's was pretty damning... along with the scratches but not enough to be totally sure. It's too bad the DNA under the finger nails couldn't be identified. That would have been the only sure way to know he was involved in the attack, as his DNA certainly would have been in the house where he would see his son. Tragic case and I'm not totally sure if the guilty verdict was right or not. If I was a juror I would have been unable to convict, like the first jury.

For instance when I had lost a loved one I wasn’t able to watch certain videos for a long while as I dealt with the grief. I won’t assume that you’re a shittty person but this was an unnecessary comment as all it did was be unkind. And with all due respect- you clearly are not a regular fan of this channel or you would know the unwritten code that this comments section is NOT a place for bullying as it is disrespectful to MIKE.

The prosecutor was good. She was able to expose his anger through questions, even got the judge involved. That did not help him at all. Then she hit him with the “You’re quick to anger huh? And she isn’t the type to back down from a fight either huh?” He walked right in that. She was good. I give her that.

Yeah but he didn't really show that much anger though, I would not even call that anger I would call it just like what he said he was frustrated with her for asking the same questions over and over which anyone would be, I really don't think he killed them, the only evidence was circumstantial..... And when it comes down to a court of law it is to be without a shadow of a doubt, there is a lot of doubt involved here I just don't see how the jury came to a guilty conclusion based off some circumstantial evidence

This case bothers me greatly. The complete lack of physical evidence is what bothers me. Not saying he is innocent. I'm just perplexed by there being no evidence found of him at the crime scene or them on any of his belongings. Nobody deserves to die like that especially not children and I can't begin to fathom the fear they all must have felt, what an evil evil crime this was. R.I.P to all 4 of the Peters family.

This case shows the human error of emotional reactivity and not deliberating and judging as objectively and without bias as you can. Even if you thought he was responsible, the evidence just doesn’t support that “beyond a reasonable doubt.” I don’t understand how he was convicted.
