The Disappearance of Suzanne Morphew

That Chapter

Күн бұрын

Suzanne Morphew lived happily with her husband Barry Morphew and two daughters in Salida, Colorado. However, in 2020 Suzanne went on a bike ride and never returned. What would follow would be an extensive search, with all eyes aiming toward the usual suspect. And as time went on, more and more would come out despite denials.

I can't find a clear answer on how the "bike riding" story began. From what I've read, Suzanne's daughters couldn't get in touch with their mom, so they called their 70 year old neighbor to check on her. Every report I've read said the "neighbor reported her missing when she didn’t return from her bike ride". Maybe Suzanne routinely rode her bike and the neighbor kept an eye on her. So when the neighbor reported her missing, she assumed Suzanne had been riding her bike and hadn't returned. Or, maybe Suzanne told her daughters she'd be out for a ride, so they assumed that's what she was doing. To me, it seems like the neighbor's police report is where the story originated.

Their algorithm for notifications is complicated. They're aware of the problem but purposefully don't notify people of things (uploads, likes, responses, etc. ) on purpose for various reasons. Often just to limit notifications to not irritate people. Their model is really stupid though in my opinion. Especially how they interject their personal political opinions into their code.

UPDATE: As Mike had said, Barry Mophew had been charged and arrested for the first-degree murder of Suzanne as of May 5, 2021. But, as of September 20, 2021 he was released on a $500,000 bond. His trial is scheduled to start on May 3, 2022 and run through early June. New facts regarding the case have also come to light in his 130 page arrest affidavit, which was not unsealed until five months after his arrest, such as: In the affidavit, it states that “Suzanne took clear, articulable steps in January 2020 in attempts to separate from and divorce her husband, Barry. She told her family and close friends about her intentions, secretly recorded her notes of abuse in her phone because Barry monitored it, confronted Barry in arguments that she secretly recorded with help from a friend and finally, sent him a text four days before she disappeared saying that she was “done, let’s handle this civilly.”

There’s no real evidence that he did it but when you factor in his affair, his clear lack of urgency, his need to provide theories of what “could’ve” possibly happened to her instead of actually trying to get down to the truth, the fact that random strangers were showing more concern for HIS missing wife than he was, the smell of strong cleaning products and so forth.... it starts to paint a very clear picture.

I know some evil, selfish, manipulating, passive aggressive rotten women who just wont stop in a argument.... Again im not saying thats ok or justified to murder her, but it's not hard to see a bloke who cant control his emotions losing his shit and doing something heinous... But to kill your own beautiful innocent children and dump them in oil tanks... Is... Ffs just the lowest possible thing someone could do.. You'd have to be completely void of emotions and empathy, and full selfish psychopathy

They are more than likely claiming non-profit status on their home...because they are claiming it as a non profit business. This means that they would pay no property taxes on that property. They were obviously Christian, so depending on how they interpret their faith it could be that murder/manslaughter is forgivable and divorce isn't, since being murdered just sends you to heaven that little bit sooner.
