Timmothy Pitzen disappeared in 2011, after being taken away by his mother, Amy. She left a note saying he was safe, and he has never been seen, and is still missing. In 2019 a man named Brian Rini became involved in the story, in the most unusual way. This is the story of Timothy Pitzen.

especially in the case where it's combined with a suicide. Parents often take their children with them when they commit suicide, and this happens with parents who adored and loved their children. I know two siblings whose mother tried to kill them along with herself, but was stopped by someone being in the right place at the right time. the mother was institutionalised in a mental hospital and commited suicide upon her release. the family still maintains that the mother loved their children very much. She was horribly suicidal and in a psychotic episode. Everyone, always, said that she was a loving and caring mother, but she would have killed them if not for someone interfering.

@Keith Sergent No I'm saying people that are deranged like this woman doesn't need full or equal custody. It's all based on context of how healthy the parent is. Not every sad and disturbed parent is going to be treated the same way. Clearly laws don't need to be changed in a way for a woman like this to have too much custody of her child and anyone that thinks otherwise is clearly an idiot. The safety of children from mentality ill people isn't an opinion.

@@cocolime6496 I work with the mentally ill and it's natural for a parent to have unconditional love for there child you would die for then. So to kill them goes against nature and rational thought so to call them spiteful or selfish i think is wrong. When people act out of the normal its easy to say what a arsehole and so on, but no one want to be one, most of the time its a mental problem they have and cant control mixed with being a product of there environment. lets agree to disagree and let me state i believe hurting mentally or physically a child is the worse crime you can do and refuse to believe someone of sound mind would do that. Happy Fathers day by the way.

@@johndoe-cm9qe there are plenty of parents in the world who love their children to death but still do a poor job of looking after them and practise a very selfish kind of love. dying for your children is natural and admirable, but how does that fit with killing them? taking them away from the other parent they love? from the life they have and are happy with? i don't know why you're bringing mental illness into it. not all mentally ill parents are homicidal (in fact most are not but i assume you know this), and not all bad parents are mentally ill - in fact bad parenting and selfishness has little to do with mental illness. it sounds like you're trying to downplay the responsibility of people like this woman just because of their mental illness, which is a dangerous rhetoric. and before you jump to school me on mental illness: I've had depression and anxiety for over 10 years, probably since I was a child. my parents are abusive. i talk to people online with various illnesses. i like to read up and inform myself on different types of mental illnesses, and have a fascination with crime. mental illness does not excuse or make bad people. we are all still accountable for our actions.

He's obviously dead. "he belongs to me. He will never be found, he's with people who love him". That almost always means they're dead and the ones "keeping him safe" are angels in heaven. It's both a bad lie to keep loved ones and investigators from pursuing further and for the killer to rationalise that what they did was just.

The cold fact is she murdered her own son because she knew she would lose custody and treated him as a possession of hers as seen in the texts to the husbands brother. She killed him and locked up or buried his remains somewhere and would not tell because even in death she wanted to possess him. She chose to kill him instead and then herself because she was too petty to allow her son to live without being the reason for the sun to rise and set in his world. That is sick.

@SueMead

*+Lexi Rae* I'm not going to make excuses for the individual that claimed he was Timothy Pitzen. However, I will say that it's not all together surprising that there are some desperate people that will grasp any possible straw to improve their miserable existence. There are many children in North America (not to mention the entire planet) that will do anything in an attempt to make themselves feel like their existence matters. Contemplate, if you will, just what it must feel like to be completely alone and at the mercy of the world. Then, imagine what it must be like to be a little kid trying to survive under such trying circumstances. What would you do?

@nozoto
@nozoto 5 жыл бұрын
I find it strange though because in these cases of family drama ending in suicide, the other's body isn't concealed (so well they're never discovered after perimeter search, to boot). It's not a behavior congruent with that of a killing suicidal person. If she wanted her son to join her in the afteralife, she'd have kept him close and they'd have been found together. I don't think Timmothy's dead, on my part. She could have entrusted him to a most trusted acquaintance in between going at this location alone. Why she changed of tshirt? She may have taken a long shower, as well. Makes sense, mostly if she felt dirty and shitty for having lost grip so much in her family life. She was obviously mentally and emotionally disturbed. And it takes a lucid and methodical mind to think about a good enough place to hide a corpse, eventually dig a grave etc...
@kristinakarpf5346
@kristinakarpf5346 5 жыл бұрын
I think she killed him. The reason why she didn't commit suicide next to timmothys body was so he would never be found. Because she hated her husband so much so out of spite and to make him suffer till the day he died she exacted control over him by hiding their sons body. Or she didn't plan on suicide at first then after hiding him she decided to.

Personally, as someone who suffers from depression myself, what she did was not just "self-destructive". I believe she was punitive in her final act; angry about her lack of control over the situation and, believing she "owned" Timmothy, she destroyed everything so that it could never be "owned" by anyone else. Perhaps she thought she was doing the right thing and perhaps I'm cynical, but judging by the way she spoke about her son and her actions that followed, it's really hard for me to believe that she didn't intend some malice. I'd have to know what exactly the mental health issues were though...

No she didn’t love him, if she did she wouldn’t have killed him. That’s proof enough. She saw him as a pawn, a thing, something she owned and if she lost it then she would destroy it so no one could ever take it from her That’s not love at all, that’s being evil, selfish, spiteful and she was a sorry piece of trash who used her own child.

re-response from another comment but useful here as well: The cold fact is she murdered her own son because she knew she would lose custody and treated him as a possession of hers as seen in the texts to the husbands brother. She killed him and locked up or buried his remains somewhere and would not tell because even in death she wanted to possess him. She chose to kill him instead and then herself because she was too petty to allow her son to live without being the reason for the sun to rise and set in his world. That is sick.

This case makes me so sad, I think it was a case where she killed Timothy before killing herself because she knew she wasn't going to get custody of him if they broke up. It's just sad that the father never had any closure. So sad :(

There was a 23 year old guy that did the same thing. He was pretending to be a boy named Nicholas Barclay from Texas. He was in Spain, went on the Missing and Exploited Children Website, found Nicholas’s info, found Nicholas’ family and convinced them to come get him. They did. He had a FRENCH ACCENT! The family wanted him back so bad they believed him. He lived with them. This was turned into a documentary called “The Imposter” on Netflix.

I appreciate you relaying this horrific nightmare in the tone it deserved Mike. In some cases there is just no room for humor, I appreciate you sensing this was one of those times and being able to adjust your delivery accordingly. Thankyou for treating Timothy and his father with the respect they deserve. ❤️

The one thing I absolutely know is that "crazy" people do not do things for other people, they do things for themselves. She didn't give Timothy a perfect weekend, she gave herself the perfect weekend.

Geez just because someone struggles with their mental health doesn’t at all mean they’re heartless.

No, you don't have the slightest idea of what you're talking about. Some of the most kind and compassionate people I know are people who deal with or have dealt with mental health issues, because they know what it's like to be in a bad spot and want to help. Attitudes like yours only contribute to the stigma that people with mental illness face and make it harder for people who need help to get it.

I use to follow this case closely but then stopped a few years back, so it blew my mind to see an update happen in my home state of Kentucky.

Another great post Mike keep up ur hard work well stand by and support you no matter what:) thanx mate. -Mike Update- It's never a good thing when someone says they need their space i personally think she killed the little boy after spoiling him with park rides and the zoo so when she said that he's in good hands I believe she meant he's in Gods Good hands or deceased family members hands now and he's safe and fine atleast that's what I think couldve happened sadly I hope I'm wrimg and he's with a sweet loving family..... 2nd update I'm half way thrue ur vid and my opinion you mentioned to a T wow!!!! U can't help but really feel for the father:(

Parents who kill their children ..... it makes me cry to think what that poor boy felt and thought when she killed him. The ultimate betrayal of the innocent trust of a child 😭 Just heartbreaking.

The mother killed the boy when he said he wanted to "go back and see his dad". I guarantee it. It triggered something really dark in his mother, realizing that her son loved his father more.
