It’s not like a fucking paintball dude. I feel like you’ve only seen it in movies or with single low cal shots. People who get shot in the vest with a common handgun break their ribs and suffer internal bleeding _at best._ Arterial tearing and organ/lung bone penetration at worst. Well, if it was me as a police officer patrolling the early morning hours. i'd have my pistol out of its holster and lying within very easy reach. After the second PA order for the pedestrian to stop, and he didnt...i'd have my pistol in hand at the ready. (it would make common sense, given the current situation that a probable serial killer who kills in the early morning hours is still at-large). Once he turned around and didnt stop, i'd already have my pistol trained on him. Not a guarantee that i'd totally win the gunfight, but it would be an extra advantage in my favor as I would most probably get the first shots out as he pulls out his gun/ revolver to engage me. Other advantages include Im wearing a kevalar vest and have a bit of cover via the auto. unless he gets a lucky shot (or if he is a crack shot) to the head, im in a much more advantageous situation. The police chief is not totally accurate in his use of the word "ambushed", he was semi-ambushed. Ambushed is being totally surprised by an attacker that "comes out of hiding" to do you/ others harm. This obviously isnt the case.
@sweeneytodd0113 жыл бұрын
@@Gizziiusa I'd agree with this, i thought myself after he didn't stop or acknowledge the cop car in any way I'd have been ready for trouble here and I'd have prepared myself like the post above says, my instinct would have been waving flags and ringing bells on that guy walking. Also yes it's not really an ambush, a surprise maybe but i think it's clear there was going to be a problem with this guy after the first time the cop told him to stop and he didn't even acknowledge, you should know there's a problem here, definitely there's something wrong so be careful is what my instinct would be telling me. Glad the cop survived though, took four bullets but still returned fire, fair play to him for that.
