@TheBrabon1 He thought the garbage would've been picked up and her body unknowingly transported to the landfill before it was located at the apartment complex. Had it made it to the landfill it could've been buried and concealed forever or upon discovering it, the authorities would've have a tougher time pinpointing where it came from. I think they would've figured it out regardless

If I were to guess, it probably has more to do with disposing of/moving the body rather than anything else. You ever tried to move a sleeping person? There's a reason it's called 'deadweight'. Which isn't to say that there aren't people who just do it for their own twisted shits and giggles, there almost certainly are. Though probably most of them just have to do with... uh... 'convenience'

yeah for sure, it's hard enough for me to field dress a deer and I throw up everytime, well I used to until I started drinking a half a bottle of Jack before I do the job. Yes. He said already that he thought that she had been killed, since he said someone must have "snatched" her. So why is it such a shock to find out they found her killed? Even as they said they did not know if it was actually her? Only because he assumed they would never find her body, and without a body he would be pretty safe from accusations.

@@carinaekstrom1 Granted in hindsight we know he did it and thus we can look back on that news interview and say whatever we like about it. The thing is though, I can think of multiple reasons why a person would react like that when innocent. False bravado for one. it's quite common for someone who is deeply distraught to try and hide it by pretending to be confident and as soon as something happens which shatters the facade they completely break down. Now we know he did it, but regardless your logic is completely flawed.

Okay in his head he kinda did because he did have a game plan and that's the problem. Targeting a neighbor isnt really that bad of an idea. But still risky, if he spent time with her and already had DNA inside her apartment. So he can say he was there before that's why there was his hair on her. Because sometimes I have random peoples hairs on me, personally speaking.
@Mali8499
@Mali8499 5 жыл бұрын
His idea for not cleaning up on the body. His idea was to put the rest at the dump. Once it's at the dump evidence is hard to collect but it's possible to retrieve the body. This disposing of evidence was suppose to be at the land field. He thought he was alot smarterthan other people and the department. Doing an interview was in a way kinda smart. Because he was her friend if he just disappeared he would of looked suspicious. So he felt an interview would prove his innocent incase he was in court or the police just looked it over or hoping they would.
@Mali8499

It is actually a calculated technique meant to directly confront a suspect and make them so uncomfortable with direct eye contact that they look away, giving the interrogator control of the interview. When this officer does it, the suspect's neck roll into staring the officer full in face is so eerie that it is the officer that almost immediately breaks eye contact, and this interview is used as an extremely rare example of that interrogation technique not only failing, but backfiring, as the interrogator seems to lose any steam he was building, and seems to want to gtfo.

The person you played the violin with was different than the guy who commited the murder. You don't know what went through his head ever since you lost contact with him. People constantly change in their head. It's likely that the guy you knew wasn't a murderer, but he grew to become one. What led him to that? Hard to tell, only he knows ultimately. It's possible that given different stimuli he'd still be a harmless weirdo. Not trusting anybody is a very cynical and way of life that will ultimately lead to your own deterrioration and misery. He only answers ‘yes’ or ‘no’ or ‘I don’t know’, to the direct questions. Any statements he replies ‘I do not understand.’ Thought he was being smart! At least he followed directions, ‘look at me’ and stares at the interviewer for the whole interrogation. What a nutter😱😱 The whole interview is obscene

I've finally sussed what makes your videos so good, it's not just the content which is tops but more importantly it's your presenting style, very personable. It really is like having a chat with a mate on facetime. A mate that won't let you get a word in edge ways & who always chats about some weird shite but a mate non the less. Anyway before I sound like even more of a sad fanboy. As always thanks for the hard work Mad Mike keep em' coming Please please do the Todd Sees case! It's a good un' with no real solution

his completely weird and obvious meltdown on camera in enjoyable, but the far more more interesting thing is how freaking well the comatose zombie state works for the interview. Look at those poor detectives. They are going off because he is giving them nothing and they are so frustrated. Gotta admire the effectiveness

Mike- Although aware of this case already, I had never seen it presented before in such a way that its true creepiness was so apparent (nor heard some of these details, which is impressive, given that you've covered it in less running time than most television true-crime programs). I had also never previously felt so much anger and sadness for the loss of the promising young victim in this case. Thank you for the exceptional coverage of a story which would be so much better if it had never happened in the first place. ~ Switching gears here: how does "down-to-Earth" reconcile with the decision to appear in class wearing chainmail?
