Glad that you pointed out that swaps are an investment, in all senses of the words. Even SR swaps, which require little to no modification to the driveline or chassis to work, isn't plug n' play. Whatever choice one do, either going with modifying the KA, which is now getting some love after being harshly treated as a "truck engine", or going LS, which some of its cheaper variants many use are literally truck engines, is one's choice and should not be criticized. That goes for the oddball swaps, like SBC, SBF, SBM, Gen III Hemis, L28s, CA18, and even the 13B.

I have my eyes on a 240sx (s13) and this was a conversation I have had with myself... I have a spare 1jz but was planning to do a LS.

Over the last 15 years i've seen countless people start out with the CA which everyone knows is junk, eventually transition to SR's, realize it's still junk and breaks down because at the end of the day it's still a Nissan. People love the look of them, they dont want to deal with the motors.
