Consider our detail brand! - pattersoncarca...
For this in depth video, we talk about one of the biggest sleeper success stories of the automotive industry - the Cadillac CTS-V. This is a car that on paper when it came out seemed incredible but for the masses seemed unnecessary. With the Pontiac G8 and the Chevy SS not succeeding in similar fashion - the CTS-V was the last GM sleeper standing and for good reason. This CTS-V with Weld Racing wheels is one of the most stable fast cars I've ever driven while I was sitting in heated seats! Thanks for watching!

As long as you don't turn the car off when you give it back to him, the car can go any distance without the fob as long as you don't turn it off and try to restrart it. Pretty much all of these cars with fobs work like that.
@Bikaz
@Bikaz 5 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Just to add to that: Its a safety concern. If your car loses connection to your fob unintentionally and just turn off while youre driving... well, you can figure out that wouldnt be the greatest experience. So if your battery runs out for example and you get stranded in the middle of the highway or just turn off engine at 90mph, not a great thing to happen.

Not only do I praise GM for making this car in general but I love them for offering it in a wagon (and a manual)! Being a wagon guy a Vagon had been my dream daily driver since they were first released in 2011. I was lucky enough to finally be able to pick one up last year and it's everything you said it is in your video and then some! Nothing like smoking 99% of the cars on the road in a pearl white 5 door Caddy. :)

I have a 2012 Cts v coupe a Corsa axle back exhaust and no other mods. I did 12s at Englishtown right before they close on street tires. Then I took up to whiskey hill racetrack. I had to have a pro join me to teach me all the turns and hill. This Pro drove a lap, on the stock Michelins, he was quite impressed. He commented how well it did coming out of the hairpin and going up the hill. That's where LSA had the biggest advantage over the turbo six of the BMW M3s. And I was up their butts on the straightaway at over 120mph. The Brembos never faded and could put you through the windshield. And even at 4200 lbs. I was very confident attacking all the turns. Magnetic shocks and stock pilot sport tires stuck like glue. The pro was very impressed. And I'm a novice. Bmw's ,Camaros, mustangs, vettes, Nissan it's all got gapped by this old man in the Cadillac. 😎🇺🇸

The CTS-V (gen 2) has a column mounted starter, but it doesn't use a key and doesn't have a place to put a key. It is a keyless ignition, just like a push button start. So it does require the fob to be in range.

big BMW fan here. but yes if you talking about the E92 M3 V8 VS the CTS-V the LS is the way to go if you want to race and drag build one. Ive droven BMW M3 V8 love the high rev. but the CTS-V would beat it all day. now if you talk about a F90 M5compation VS a New CTS-V ID pick the M5. M5 downpipe e85 intakes tuned and you beat just about GTR that are FBO. BMW are beast when it comes to drag they beat hellcats and GTR stocks yes the price might be a lil over but non compation m5 is the same price as GTR and still faster. The F80 M3 is a monster for drag build or roll build. the BMW new G82 or G80 AWD beats GTR stocks now just think about the G80 downpipe e85 tuned easy a monster for roll are drag. allot of people don''t realize that the AWD systems in BMW and there traction are one of the best one in the world sonunds basie but it's the true

The gen 2 CTS V is my absolute dream car! Gen 2 CTS is the best looking car on the road in my book.love the body style. I have a 2011 3.6 performance with a tune and it's pretty fun, and pretty solid. For a V6 it's kinda quick, it can definitely get out of his own way when needed. I want the real deal though. Almost bought a couple V's, but milage to price ratio wasn't right. Plus trying to give me six thousand dollars for my car is a no-go on a trade in. I'm hoping within the next two years to have my own V. Want the coupe actually, but those are hard to find at a reasonable price. V's have gone up a lot in price since the discontinuation of the CTS V.

You can look up the specs and numbers, but nothing can really prepare you for how well it drives. It's an absolute joy to drive, it just works from front to back. @@some_thicc_sedan LS3 is better in literally every single way. However, if price is the issue, go get a junkyard 4.8 or 5.3. Gap the rings on it, throw an Ebay tubro on it and you'll be the fastest guy I'm town for $1000

how reliable are the cts v's? I'm debating on trading my 17 impala for an early 2010's cts v, but just want to be certain because i really do love my impala and it's reliability... just want some more speed though.

So my 67 year old mom actually dailies a 2011 gunmetal gray CTS-V sedan. Parents bought it used with around 20k miles about 5 years ago. Now, at 99k miles, it's still going strong. The supercharger is actually going to get replaced under warranty! Other than that, absolutely solid car.

I've been driving for 3 years, never done a performance mod on my cars so when you say it's got bolt ons, exhaust, e85, some little things, and I see those tires, I'm thinking "holy shit I bet that's quick!" And you're like "you're probably thinking it's a little nudge faster than stock"
