Hey Jake, came across your channel 2 days back and i am loving your content already! Its been a month since I started with my workout journey and currently i am not wearing any specific training shoes as such. Wanted to get a pair which would be suitable for most of the gym workouts, various machines, lifting, a bit of cardio and a bit of crossfit occasionally. I have a lower back issue and have started wearing custom insoles recently and i have a slightly wide feet too. Would like to get your opinion on what type of shoe should i buy as i am a beginner given that i might swap out the factory insoles with my custom ones in the future. I had shortlisted 3 shoes based on your reviews and availability in my region. Nano x3 , nano x2 and UA reign 5 Thank you so much and keep up the great work man!

Thank you! I'd go Nano X2 or Reign 5. Both should be solid! Keep in mind, they'll be a little dense for running and if you notice they're uncomfortable for that context due to their denser feel/navigating the lower back stuff then having another pair of shoes for running wouldn't be a bad call.

@@thatfitfriend Thanks for the reply! I do have a good pair of running shoes which I am planning to wear for all my cardio workouts after I buy a training shoe. Also, just a few follow up questions: Because of the lower heel to toe drop in the reign 5's do you think they cause heel pain or might in some way aggreviate the back pain? Do they have enough space for custom insoles? Do they fit well for a wider feet with a low to mid arch?

Tyr Drop Zero laced coming soon? I’m seeing lots of hate that they look too much like Vivo and to that I say Vivo should make their friggin shoes wider. I quite enjoyed the fit of the first version with straps, but didn’t find them practical for wearing any more than just working out and I wanted something to wear around all day and then to the gym.

Good question - low-key, I might take the Aerolux here due to them fitting my feet a smidge better, but honestly, both shoes are dope and I wear them each regularly atm.

Has been 10 plus years since I have worn barefoot shoes. Have gotten back into power lifting last year and have watched a ton of your videos but still cant decide on pair. I'm here because I was exploring the notorious Radix. In your opinion, which shoe would be best for daily gym use? I don't engage in CrossFit, focusing primarily on weightlifting and powerlifting. Additionally, I also have an E width foot. Currently, I own a pair of Xero HFS 2 shoes, and while I like them, I find them slightly narrow for my foot. So I'm in search of another barefoot shoe that might offer a better fit for my foot.
