Those were so awesome Junkman. My grandmother bought me the Spider-Man bank and bought my sister the Cabbage Patch Kids bank. I wish I had those Star Wars banks. Great stuff Junkman thank you for sharing and helping me with bringing up some old childhood memories like always. Take care Junkman and take care.

I think that they started D.A.R.E. when I was in 6th grade. I wonder if I still have the T-shirt. Obviously, it won't fit anymore. That Spider-Man bank rocks. Mr. T., too! They still make 50 cent coins, but not for commercial use. You can still ask banks for half dollars and $2 bills, though. I had the Tootsie Roll bank. It was kinda boring to me, though.

Y'all remember the Tootsie pops. With the Indians shooting the star. I remember the rumor/urban Legend that if u get the wrapper with the rare Indian shooting the star with his bow n arrow.... U could take it to any store and get a free Tootsie pop. I remember early on some stores did it, and later on store clerks were like: " get out of here kid" lol Am I imagining this or did it happen?

It does look like Abraham Lincoln. You voiced that as I thought it. Video idea. Phantom Menace release party at Skywalker Ranch. I've seen photos pop up of a diverse range of celebrities. Katy Holmes, Ozzy, Ryan Reynolds, Usher, all chilling on a sunny afternoon. Gotta be a story there.

Sounds like a good video idea. I'd love to go just because it's Star Wars and Ozzy was there. :) That bank reminds me of a Klingon from Star Trek 6, plus the Abraham Lincoln reference lines up with the political tones of that movie.

@tperson8347 Yeah, I'm sure he was there for bc of his kids. Have you saw any of those pictures? I've never sought them out, they just appear in instagram. There's the guys from Backstreet Boys or whoever wearing sparkly 90's garb and there's Ozzy & the guys from Ministry in black, so pumped to experience Jar Jar. Toss on one if those Col Sanders type ties and a top hat & I'm sold.

I, too, say Frankenstein and not this silly "Frankenstein's monster" nonsense that only abnormal brain donors say! Anyway, I had none of these banks you showed, Junkman. No, I had a non-licensed Chewbacca bank made out of plaster that my Dad bought me from a local plaster casting shop. Had to paint it myself and because I was only like three years old when he got it for me, I painted it all kinds of colors and totally effed it up! Then it fell off the shelf some months later and I didn't have any bank for several years, until I got... A ceramic robot bank that I got as a stocking stuffer. Not a cool robot, either, but one of those stereotype robots that people who knew nothing about _cool_ sci-fi always seemed to portray robots as looking like. That one also broke. And my next bank was Mercantile National Bank, where I set up a savings account and deposited my paper route money. But guess what happened? I broke that bank, too! Lost everyone's money who had money in that bank and I had to go to prison for 20 years. Moral of the story is: I don't like banks. They either break or break _you_!
