Suggestions: You can try to travel up north Luzon. You can check the Boracay of the North ... The Anguib Beach Sta. Ana Cagayan. It cheaper there, not like Boracay. Callao Cave. Then you can check Batanes Island. You can check online these places .

Ilocos Sur is quite exposed when it comes to tourism and all, Ilocos Norte isn't that exposed, however Ilocos Norte is the Balikabayan Province of the Philippines. And the best part of the north is that the cost of living is very low, from rent to almost everything. As per safety, it is one of the safest and cleanest province in the whole country

The North is beautiful white sandy beaches, rolling hills, mountain views from Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Regions, Cagayan Valley paddy fields, corn fields, Baguio , Cordillera Mountains, Spring wates falls and Lakes, Nueva Vizcaya From Eastern and Western Luzon Newly built high ways up hills and to the top etc. There are many nice places where people are not talking about it. Better Roads and Transportation than in the South of Philippines

History: You will know it is an old city/ municipal in the Philippines when you see a plaza (or town square) in between a cathedral and the capitol/ municipal government buildings. It was designed naturally to keep the balance and separate power between the church and the states. It was designed during the Spanish era to make sure that the church won't influence the government's works and vice versa, however, the two power must be nearby to make sure that the ruling of the government will always be based with the spiritual guidance of the Church. Before, when the Spaniards introduced Christianity (conquered the Philippines) the church or the friers always intervenes in the policy and rules of the state and because of this, the Filipino leaders and officials make it sure that it will never ever happen again by putting a town square or a plaza in between both powers.❤ Enjoy your stay in our beloved Philippines.🇵🇭👍🙏

Vigan is capital of Ilocos Sur. It is also the seat of the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia. After the Diocese of Manila was elevated to Archdiocese, they had to decentralize so they created the Diocese of Nueva Segovia, Diocese of Nueva Caceres in Naga and Diocese of Cebu in Cebu. All 3 are now archdioceses.

I love Vigan. Reminds me of Cuba before it's downturn. Vigan is in the northern part of the Philippines which gets less tourists. Most western tourists want to go to beaches, which the north is not famous for.

You should check out the boracay of the north in Pagudpod Ilocos Norte, Saud beach its not as crowded as boracay with same crystal clear waters, calm waves relaxing and white sands but not as white as boracay but still breathtaking and the sunset spots are one of the best in PH on a clear weather.

Its Batanes Mike the last island in the northern part of the Philippines. It has 3 islands I think. Yes the waves are huge, the houses there are made of stone because they got typhoon a lot. They say it's the Switzerland of the Philippines. You should go back one day and go further north. A lot of vloggers been to Batanes

I have watched so many vlogs about Batanes, it's really breathraking! It's a must place to visit. Batan is where the airport is, then boat to the other islands, not sure which one has the very rough port

It's northern Luzon, so you'll need to fly into Clark Airport and drive north or drive into Ilocos Nord and drive south (second option is faster). Cebu is a southern island like where I live in Iloilo

A comparable city here in Florida (but on a slightly smaller scale) would be St Augustine. Oldest city in the U.S. founded by Spain in 1565 and a place I've been visiting most of my life. Wow! Haven't finished watching yet, but yes, that church - 19:30 - was badly damaged in the recent strong earthquake that happened just 2 years ago i think. In fact, so many structures there were damaged. But i'm glad they were able to patch things up and everything seems to be back to normal now. :)

YOu are right about the Earthquake. The July 2022 magnitude 7 earthquake damaged almost every old building there. I'm from that small city by the way. Beautiful tiny city... the only thing I can't endure is the summer heat. specially in March to July. It will cook you from the inside out.

I don’t think it’s ancient but colonial since it’s been built during the Spanish colonization. You will not see any ancient houses in the Philippines ‘cause they’re not made of concrete, stones or mud

They do have a black sand beach named Mindoro Beach. Compared to most other Philippines cities, it seems like you can more easily and safely walk around the city. Very cool place!

I like your vlogs,the only thing I've noticed is I've never seen you tip anyone I hope you do it off camera. Small gestures in the philippines goes a long way.

Yes, for example when I get in any bus I generously tip first they always make sure I don't miss my stop and help me make sure I get as close as possible, of course bell boys ect. But leaving in every minutes is impossible plus holding a suitcase, camera and reach in the pocket at the same time is pretty impossible

Yum! I think you may greatly enjoy pinakbet pizza, Michael. I’ve never had it but pinakbet (the way I know it) is vegetable based dish, & you always say you’re a steak & meat lover-who also luvs your vegetables! But I don’t know if the pinakbet pizza also incorporates the bagoong or alamang (shrimp paste or fish paste), coz that I don’t believe you’ve developed a taste for yet! 🦐🍤👃🍕

If only I'm in authority i.e, big filipino businessman, Sec of DoT, LGU, Nat'l Heritage What?; I will subsidize i.e, free tax to help the private initiatives (local entrepreneurs) maintain and preserved this place.
