In my opinion, the thing lacking for young men, is they weren't raised to expect the hardship of life, so when they finally experience it they can't handle it, I grew up with "life ain't fair, so get used to it" among "man up" and things like that, I was never told that the world owed me something like these kids now, it hasn't necessarily made it easier to succeed, but it absolutely has made it easier to deal with the stress and struggles of life! Boys need to be mentally prepared to take on the weight of the world by themselves

I remember in the 80's, me and the boys would hug a hello, or goodbye. And that filled a gap, until the next time. We didn't know then how much we needed it. Now all my OG crew is gone, and I'm out here float'n alone... A hug would solve a multitude of issues, but it's not socially accepted in our society anymore. No wonder most men are so depressed All the things that they can't express They go to war, get thrown on the shelf Then go back to war with they mental health Then grab that bottle and ask for help Try to pull themselves out of hell Then fall back down and then realize That they gon' have to do it themselves This hit the hardest for me being a veteran, then to have your partner walk out on you because you struggle with your demons and can't open up to them in the way they want, so once again you are thrown back on the shelf

I feel where your coming from im a father of 2 sons my oldest is 7 and my youngest is 4 and this world in the state it is in right now i wonder if there going to be able to find good wholesome women that will see them for them. i was raised to be a mans man and never show emotion but my wife broke down my walls and showed me its ok to have feelings i dont want my kids to have to be emotionally detached so i tell them all the time its ok to have and talk about your feelings
