As an athlete that rarely use supplements, I take my kitchen discipline so serious because that's where 70% of my results come from. Eggs, chicken, turkey, fish, nuts, vegetables, fruits, water and enough sleep are among my top routines that has yield a positive result for me. White bread, white rice, sugar, simple carbs, unhealthy oils, pastries etc are a no no for me. My food is my result. Take it serious and reap the benefits.

good quality sleep is everything guys!! For nutrition: Eat for how you train, like Scott said to see gains you need to eat in a caloric surplus. And also eating within a two hour window after you train! So when muscle fibers breakdown you can immediately rebuild. Good Carbohydrates are essential for sustainable energy. So be mindful of incorporating greens, grains, and minimize starches which is high on the glycemic index that raises your blood sugar levels peace y’all!!

High sugar fruits are not ideal outside of the summer season. In the winter time I stick to berries(blue,black, raspberry). I stay away from high sugar fruits like melons, apples, peaches, pineapples, r grapes etc. Those syrup sweetners aren't good either, agave, Date syrup, maple syrup, honey. Those high sugar sweetners do more bad than good. The only sweetner I play with is stevia, monfruit, and erythritol.
@vMagnus14 жыл бұрын
Hmm u can explain more?
@darrelljohnson24994 жыл бұрын
"Foods that are grown and consumed during their appropriate seasons are more nutritionally dense. In a study monitoring the vitamin C content of broccoli, it was found that broccoli grown during its peak season (hint: fall) had a higher vitamin C content than broccoli grown during the spring. When foods are grown out of season, they aren't able to follow their natural growing and ripening rhythms. In order for certain fruits and vegetables to be available year-round, post-harvest treatments, known as ripening agents, are used. These include chemicals, gases, and heat processes. Some produce is also coated with an edible film to protect it. These processes allow foods to be produced in mass quantities by slowing the maturation and ripening process. They also help to protect the produce from bacteria and other pathogens on their long journey from the fields to your local grocery store." When you eat too much fructose - the sugar found in fruit by way of high amounts at one time, or high amounts daily our liver cannot process it fast enough. Instead, it starts to make fats that are carried in the blood and stored as triglycerides - the body's main form of fat. This is why people still gain weight even though they've cut out baked sweets, candy, soda, chips, and fried foods. Ghrelin(appetite hormone) is suppressed by fructose so you stay hungry. There's not enough fiber to excuse excessive fruit consumption. Fruit should be treated as any sweet snack: eaten in moderation. Fruit will always conquer the other options. You receive many benefits from eating fruit; antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber, &, sugar. But they can began to harm you if you are gluttonous with it. The syrup sweetners are even worse they're essentially natural "high fructose corn syrup's". In fact agave has more fructose(56%) per serving than "high fructose corn syrup"(55%).
