I really like when those I consider professionals show errors and mistakes. I am relatively new at furniture painting and follow instructions and when it doesn't work I'm left wondering what I did. It's good to see it because I'm encouraged by that and it helps me be determined to keep trying. I leaned a lot and this is oh so pretty. I love your pieces!

Stunning dresser. Very Versailles worthy. Love the almost metallic look of the blue/gray.

Thank you for leaving AND explaining the random, crackling boo-boos!Yes, the black paint added to the blue enriched the color and gave it depth. Good prep work and good primer are 80% of getting things looking right! Great timing for your sander showing up. I figure those are just your painting socks!

I am back to your videos today as I really find I enjoy watching your work. I have done a lot of re-finishing in my long life as I am now 77 years old, but I never had a paint sprayer. I was mostly using paint-strippers and painting with a brush with oil base paints... Now there are much different paints and products than when I began around 1960 with my first projects. Your project here has such lovely details and turned out beautiful.

Thats why i like acrylic clear coats, no bubbling. If it does due to the humidity you can use a torch to remove trapped bubbles. Polyurethane is very flammable though, so make sure its acrylic.

My first glance at that beautiful dresser, realizing you were going to paint it, made my heart sink. The finished product though, m g, how striking. Where you might once have walked into a room and thought “really nice piece”, now you wouldn’t want to take your eyes off it. Yes, you do great work, boo boos and all, but your imagination and creativity outshines that by a mile.

Hey Cowboy, its been a while... love, love, love, the way this dresser turned out!! The way it started to go sideways at first reminded me of me and some of the projects Ive tackled... lol... but sometimes those projects that take a ton of correcting, turn out the best... I met you originally on a shabby chic site based in Ireland, Im the Prim Cricket. Ive been extremely tired up with revamping an entire 1963 ranch style house... OMG, how much woodwork can be in a simple ranch home!! Answer: A CRAP LOAD!! lol... Hope all has been well for you and Texas. Love your videos!! Big hug from a fellow Texan... (transplanted against my will as a teen to the North). lol

I have this almost extact dresser and it was a purchase I regret. The only detail that is different is the bottom center skirt area. Mine is a simpler design. Thirty years later, it's still sitting in my bedroom. It is heavy and over the top! If I could easily move it, I would paint it. But, it is on the second floor of my home and my husband would balk at moving it now. Not sure what I will ever do with it...other than ignore it 😄 Your job is beautiful!
