Good clue is that she got her professional microphone for her 12th birthday, and generally used it for every video thereafter at 12 & 13yo.

No one should compare a grown mans performance and this performance recorded on a phone in her home with maybe two rehearsals. Angelina's musical intellect is amazing. To want to do this song and then to understand the emotion of this song and then to sing this song for the multitudes at 11 years old with absolutely no fear. And then to do it at this high level. We are witnessing a real prodigy.

Not since the 'Gold Standard' of this song by Bobby Hadfield, of The Righteous Brothers, has anyone done a better tribute to that legendary singer. I realize that he was an adult male singer with unbelievable power and range, whereas Angelina's lungs haven't fully developed yet, but even here she gives an astoundingly great performance and does it in a casual setting at home.

Fantastic reaction and I read by a commenter, that she is self taught and that thank God her Teachers were wise enough just to teach her Theory and how to protect her voice. At 4 she was technically already beyond them, God Bless!

Angelina's instincts included how to take care of her voice while growing up. She somehow knew how to sing a given song and make it sound awesome, without pushing herself. Singing was as natural as breathing for her, and she was having so much fun, usually giving a confident smile halfway through the song.

I even went to a club one night to here a new band with a friend who knew the band members and ended up sitting next to Buddy Miles and next to him was Bill Medley

Several years ago l was searching for another fine singer that I had seen on AGT when I caught a glimpse of a little ragamuffin girl barefoot and a tooth missing. I had scrolled past this image before I could stop. My curiosity led me to spend the next twenty minutes trying to find that little girl to see what she was about not even knowing she was a singer. When I finally found the video of her I witnessed the earthly return of Billie Holiday through this child I found out to be Angelina Jordan singing I'm a Fool to Want You. I'm up there in age and I've had a life full of music. I've seen many and heard a lot. Never have I had such an emotional reaction to a singer like I've have had with Angelina. Shes more than just a singer, she is a master artist, a storyteller who's tone is hers alone. I've watched her grow into a beautiful young woman with a voice from heaven that many times has brought tears to my eyes. To my amazement she even gets better as she gets older when she was brilliant as a child. My surrender was that first performance on NGT before she had even finished singing. I'm so looking forward to her album and the world discovering her as I have. I truly believe and have stated many times, we are witnessing a true prodigy.

Thanks for another awesome reaction to (11) Angie. She did this when she was (9) during an interview. It was great. I put link at bottom. Please also react to this “Lovin' You” - Proysenfestivalen 21.07.2017 kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2W6gZWjn8yInZY Angie’s (11) from “Just Want To Make Love To You” originally written by Willie Dixon 1954 & covered by Muddy Waters & a lot of other big name blues singers also. Angie changed the lyrics & made it more age appropriate & also made it really awesome a bit modern style blues with a nostalgic feel also. You’ll see she’s opening her concert with this song. (Trimmed & enhanced version kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6fQo6l7mb6Ghbs) Angelina gives a short little interview when she was (9) explaining why she performs barefoot & about the book she wrote. Angelina Jordan interviewed by Anne Lindmo, NRK TV “Lindmo” 14/11/2015 (eng & esp sub) kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5SmfXePZaiGkJo during interview she is ask to sing. (Please do a reaction to this very touching story & also part 2 below is her singing) together their about 6 min. Part 2 Angie sings “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers at (9) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXjNoouuhsd5naM this is also a nice video to react to as a double reaction Also She did another interview at (13) at AGT-C & give's a little more reason why she performs barefoot & fills in some blanks about it from the interview when she was 9. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmWvpJeEgr2SY5I

Nick, thank you for your sincere reaction and I look forward to more. It is obvious you recognize Angelina's special talent. I have watched over 4000 music reactions over the past couple of years and have come to know what things appeal to your fans. You certainly are doing many things right. You make an effort to please your viewers but you are also honest. You are informative, and are not afraid to show your emotions. You also admire the artist regardless of the song. All is positive. But is there any one thing you could do that would help you to improve even more? You would take your channel to the next level by focusing more on artist support! It is simple and benefits you as well as the artist. First, remember to include in your description the Original Video link as well as the artist Official and cover Channels, if you have not already done so. Next, verbally encourage your viewers to like, comment, and subscribe to yours and the artists' videos and channels. This boosts subscriptions and algorithms for both. Text banners are also effective. Since most reactors wrongly assume viewers know WHY or HOW to do this, EDUCATING them is key. Your paying due respect to the artist creates more fan loyalty, and potential subscribers recognize reactors who support exceptional artists like Angelina. Equal support for the artist will provide a new dimension for your Channel. kzbin.info

Nick, I really enjoyed your final breakdown of what you observed of Angelina’s performance and I couldn’t agree more. There is no doubt in my mind that we see by Angelina’s expression that she is listening to and critiquing every note as they exit her mouth. What’s even more incredible is watching her do all of this while she is reading the lyrics from her cell phone or digital tablet.

Angelina has an amazing born in talent and, watching her hyperspeed growth over the years, must be working very hard as well to develop those skills. She has a very rich vocal toolbox which uses with growing skill and precision to deliver stunning performances. She indeed has such a lovely lower register and I feel in general lower registers are under valued and high belting are getting too much attention. Apart from 'How great thou art', she also shows it in 'You make me feel so young' in which she solos a duet and sings Frank's part in his key.

There’s another video of her singing this song. I think she was even younger, and I think it was a Norwegian audience. First they interviewed her, and then she stood up and sang a shorter version of this. She had on a white dress and I think flowers in her hair. I hope you can find it and watch it.

This is such a beautiful song that is very difficult to sing well. She has done 2 beautiful renditions so far, at 9 & this at 11. IMO, Bobby Hatfield is still the Gold Standard for this song. I really hope she records this one more time, now that her voice has matured more & I have no doubt it will be the new Gold Standard for this amazing song. I can't wait!!!

Sacrilege for some Bobby Hatfield fans: I think she was clearly better than him with the iconic “are you still mine, I need your love” run at the beginning. Sacrilege for some AJ fans: I think he was better with most of the upper register parts.
