Halle probably has one of the most unique voices today. In my opinion, she doesn't even have to go high, that would just be a favor to listeners. However, the sound of her voice is so beautiful and unique on its on, that it will catch one's ear. She sounds like a 1940s jazz artist. Shes in the wrong Era at the right time because shes needed.

I'm not sure Chloe's voice is more powerful. Her TONE is heavier and fuller. Like her voice has more resonance or something, which I suppose could be seen as having more power. Where Halle's resonance comes through is when she's on her higher register. The girl damn near sounds like an Opera singer.

I would have to disagree with you saying Chloe has more power. I think Chloe takes more risks than Halle but I believe Halle is not only more skilled but also has more power (see the climax of Cool People) the resonant D5s ALWAYS stands out, also in “Baby Girl” from Tiny Desk, she hits a F5 belt out of no where that sounds amazing! Halle hasn’t showed much of her belting range, but everytime she does, it’s always done with resonance and great technique. Chloe on the other hand, her belts are good up to about C#5 and even then sometimes she likes to manipulate her belts (more so lately) to sound a certain way so it can sometimes come off a little weaker but when she’s not manipulating her belts they carry more weight and they sound more full. Halle - better technique, better mix, better head voice, great agility but takes less risks with it, great belts and ease Chloe - better lows, great agility and takes more risks than Halle does, great belts when not manipulated both of them are amazing and I love them both deep but that’s just a little “vocal analysis” I guess lol.

@@ThatSingerReactionsyou only hear Chloe's because her pitch is lower and harsher, more earthy than Halle's and to a lot of people they will hear a lower-pitched voice than a higher (because of course we are taught that a lower pitch is the dominant). Halle's though is higher, plus she's versatile, natural, soft, smooth, soothing, mellow. She can easily adjust her pitch, her tone to suit the ambiance. Listen to cool people she matches Chloe's volume there. Chloe is great but Halle's voice, darn. Can't wait to see what she gives the more she spreads herself. Just to add that the contrast is what makes them a perfect duo. TWO phenomenal voices coming together to create perfection.

I think the actual original audio of this performance is slightly low imo! But I heard this just fine. Loved your reaction!! Halle is a star, it’s quite unbelievable that she sang live so PERFECTLY! Literally no faults, she really has incredible vocal control. She is about to tear up TLM soundtrack, she is a true vocalist through and through. And so classic as well without all the additional runs and riffs. Those belts had me in my feelings. Just amazing 🤩. I cried haha, not many vocal performances can make me cry. Halle is so special.

I do agree that both of them are equally great vocalists but I do think Halle has more skill or technique because I do notice there are certain things that she does with her voice that I don't know if Chloe doesn't know how to do them or she just doesn't do them

LOL, don't ever go off them raggedy readings. Truth: if Halle's acting career soars, Halle gonna cut an adult contemporary pop album a la Adele, Celine Dion, etc. and she is gonna be fine. But if the reading is right, acting pays WAY MORE than singing and is less stressful (film movie for a month and a half and get paid versus traveling around the country to get a tour bag that will be partially eaten in a 360 deal). Halle can live off of movies and be good so she will be fine. But I just don't imagine her leaving behind music for good.
