One of my favorite mob game memories is when a kid was being mean to my friend so I bullied him so hard he left the game. Same game we were on the bridge trying to go one more round until.we realized there were like 15 wardens spawned

Fun Fact: I believe I read somewhere that Mob was going to be so much bigger than the final product. Between hardware limitations and crunch time, they had to cut parts out. This would nicely explain why so many areas weirdly have collision for no reason.

I was in 7th grade when this map came out, and it remains my all time favorite map. BO2 is my all time favorite zombies game. So many good memories

The newspaper clippings in the wardens office has a cut off thing, but it would read “Purgatory, NM 1932”. I think it’s a teaser for the next map Buried, which the actual city is named Purgatory Point.

3:50 that outside area with steps going down and the fence around it is actually in the battle royale multiplayer that’s in bo4 and codm. Also a little before that, when you go down that staircase, that’s the entrance to the prison after you kill the dog’s and Brutus in blood

fact:on the d block and you go outside on bo2 you cant but on on bo4 its extended the paths so you can go through most of the map that had no paths from bo2

You can actuallytellafter they modeled alcatraz, which areas were pretty much never going to be usedeven from the start and which areas almost made it into the final cut. Thats pretty cool.

i used to be obsessed with getting outside of maps, mainly in World at War back when i was like 11-12. i’ll never forget the time i was given infections by a modder and i EXPLORED so much shit. it was such an ingrained memory that i can tell you his gamer tag was RedEyex37. i only played 1 game with him, but he brought so much joy to me that day, and the best part imo is he’ll never even know it

So hear me out Seeing how big Mob and Blood are, I think if remade could be an interesting outbreak/vanguard es que map. It could have a round based too for sure but it could play really well. There could be objective to find Richthofens skeleton, Retrieve stuff from the Dark Aether, escort zombie soul to a location. Or even a warzone EE.Beating the map would cleanse the island and bring us to the next chapter
