As a Latino, I have zero guilt for anything I did not do or had no control over and I think everyone should feel the same. I think what certain ancestors did to other ancestors is horrible, wrong, disgusting, etc. But should anyone ever feel "guilty" for that stuff (assuming they did not participate or control it)? Hell no.

It's a good movie but it's not quite the same thing as the type of movie Bill is talking about. It's more about white and black people learning to work together rather than about black people overcoming the evil white man's adversity and it shows that in the beginning it's not just the white players that are intolerant, the black players don't accept the white players right away either. It's a lot more balanced showing that both sides had baggage that they had to learn to let go of.

I'm English and I'm white. I feel zero shame or white guilt and why should I? My late wife was Kenyan and all of her family told me that Kenyans and Kenya were better off under British rule rather than the chaos since independence. So my question to decendants of Africa is, would you rather be sitting in your centrally heated house in America with stable electricity and a warm, clean water supply or be somewhere else? If you would rather be where you are then you should also feel white guilt as you are living where you are in the comfort that many of the world are not.

White guilt is an abstract concept. It is the idea that white people do/should just feel an underlying sense of guilt at all times for what our ancestors did to yours. I think it is *extremely* important to *always* remember the past so we can learn from it an avoid repeating it, bit going around feeling guilty all the time helps no one.

They visited Twitter just like people do when they want to rationally settle a dispute in a non-judgmental environment surrounded by the most kind, caring, and understanding people that currently exist or ever have existed or......you get the point.
