No worries apologies accepted lmao. Hey bro what’s your Ohio PB? I’m in jersey. Where our fishing is similar. I’ve caught 7 over 5lbs and 2 one Oz shy of 6lbs within a year. and this years PB 7.4 back in may!!! This is from end of 2020 to today. Last week I got a 5.1 and and a 4.13. I’ve been successful catching that class fish being 4-7lbs what can I do to catch a bigger one. Mostly using a 1/2oz jig , swim jig and a spinner bait. All very common lures. What to do for a true giant 8+ lbs

I watched this episode yesterday, I picked up a pack of this lure today. I fished it from the bank at a spot where when I get a bass or two, they’re usually small. Today in an hour I caught 3 monsters. Mind you; I’m new to bass fishing and at 67; I just started using baitcasters this spring.

Good job I’m watching today at 72. Just getting ready to apply the winter type baits and locations on elephant butte lake in New Mexico. Was in Ear 4 hours ago with sciatic problems but still gonna plan getting on the water in about a week. Stay with it it’s fun I didn’t fish for bass till I was 59. But it’s all I do now that I finally retired.

The pit boss is my #1 lure in the summer. It's not even close. I remember when they came out as the havoc series and I bought so many of them. My favorite color is perfection. It has worked for me in super clear and even muddy water. I have I think every color but it really is that good. It comes through cover easy. It's smaller profile to me feels almost like a finesse presentation.
@erniebrightfishing2 жыл бұрын
I have a few bags of unopened havoc series baits. And I have a few opened too. I knew they were an older series but I bought them this summer at a discount store. Score.. lol. I got some pit boss and some fatty craws great find.

Perfection is the best color made imo I fish clear highland resivors and they always put fish in the boat pegged or unpegged. Love ‘em also if you haven’t tried the max scent creature hawg it’s about as good 👍

I started fishing Texas rigged worms back in 1975 as a high school kid. I still do. I will use 4" all the way to 10" worms, depending on the type of water (big vs small, creek, pond, lake etc.). Crawdad plastics can work, yes. On smaller ponds and creeks a 4" worm with no weight using a spinning rod can be devastating. I always had outstanding results on Culprit worms. I use 3 colors (green, red, and black). Next, spinner baits. When the dog days of summer are here, I large spinner fished deep, just fast enough to barely get the blade spinning has had some very good results too.
@ChrisG99782 жыл бұрын
The Texas rig has been my go-to for years, especially because I enjoy fishing through weed beds and in shallower water. Nothing avoids a snag better than a Texas rig. This year however I started fishing blade baits more frequently, and although you can't fish them everywhere, I've landed some huge bass with silver and gold blades this Summer.

I threw everything jigs spinners top water swimbaits small jointed swimbaits craws tubes I mean everything. Then with 20 minutes left before I had to leave I picked up the zoom and it did the trick. I also live in Ohio. I was fishing in Fayette county I live in Ashville.

I’ve fished the pit boss since it came out. It’s the most versatile soft plastic imo. I’ve used it as a jig trailer, chatterbait trailer, on Texas rigs , Tokyo rigs it just seems to get bit. It’s got a nice noticeable but not overly aggressive flap on the fall.

If you like the pit boss you would fall in love with the Big Bite Baits Dean Rojas Fighting Frog, its been a game changer for me, catching them shallow in grass, on wood, on ledges and deep points , unfortunately it might be the least durable plastic on the market but I'll deal with it because its the best beaver bait I've used and gets bit when everything else fails , as far as tubes the Vile Tube has out produced my favorite coffee tube

Always great content from this channel - those tube hooks are my worst hook up ratio hooks eveeeer. I have tried opening them up a bit, ..over sized, smaller ones etc - just no luck keeping them on...I hookset pretty hard, but I doubt I am bending the hook - just bad luck possibly. Still on the hunt for a good tube hook.
