Interesting that the name of the President of Diaspora Affairs, Ghana is Ababio - literally meaning the one who has returned. Of course that was given with the belief that an ancestor has returned to life, but could easily include the returning diaspora back to the subcontinent.

It has been a lot if conferences regarding repatriation yet very little action. It needs to emphasized the spiritual aspect of returning to Alkebulan and what our ancestors went through. It shouldn't be a process for Black Ascendants to get citizenship as we our Black ancestors. Me and family been in Ghana for a while and seen and experienced a lot of craziness.

Love, love, love your channel! Congratulations on your repatriation!!! Regarding this conversation; very timely! I think all African polities that benefitted from the trans atlantic slave trade should pay reparations. For one it is the best strategy for enlightened self interest and self preservation. One of the reasons the continent lags behind is precisely because of the scale and length of human capital, intellectual capital, spiritual capital and economic capital lost. No continent can withstand that level of brain drain over 500 years and advance. Secondly it repays a karmic debt that lingers and still weighs many of these countries down. The Homeland Return Bill is an excellent example of what reparations could look like from the continent. Finally it demonstrates integrity and accountability on the part of Africans….the West will always have a convenient deflection from paying up by pointing at the foot dragging by Africans.

@@goddesswarrior760 You commented that you have been in Ghana for some time. Have you tried applying for citizenship? Do you have to become a permanent resident first? Just trying to understand it all.

If I'm coming to Ghana in February 2025, can I still get on the list now to gain citizenship then? @Mz.Bahamiangoddess

Is it no longer a process where you first have to obtain temporary residency followed by permanent residency and then citzenship?

@@Mz.BahamianGoddessThe next government hopefully a Mahama lead one is listening and progressive one like the democrats. The rest would have to petition the next govt and get other ghanaians to be signatories in support of it. You guys deserve it. Then parliament will pass it into law or change the existing law.
