YES! "Internal motivation." Meaning, knowing you actually really want to stop the habit. That you are truly done with it!!
@MysticWolf12239 ай бұрын
In my experience, quitting porn was the easy part. The hard part is overcoming lustful thoughts and sexual impulses. The need for sexual pleasure is stronger for some than it is for others. But as another youtuber put it, it's better to be lustful than it is to be lustful and also addicted to porn. Porn itself can literally ruin lives and change people for the worst.
@MultipleGrievance9 ай бұрын
So what do you do when lust hits you? Ignore it? Repress it? Master bate to release it? Use substitutes?
@MultipleGrievance9 ай бұрын
My best strategy is to simply release it as fight as I can.... I masterbait. I simply can't trust myself, Especially when i'm tired, To sit with the lust. It HAS to be dealt with!!

@@MultipleGrievance combination of all tbh. But sometimes you have to remind yourself that you're still a guy. It's normal to have those thoughts

I think everyone feels lustful at times, it is natural as a human being to have lustful feelings and thoughts. I think it's important to be aware of it and control your urges when they overcome oneself.

Thank you for the different perspectives in this video, it was very helpful. For me, it was realising how much impact it was having on my life (internal motivation) and also taking the pressure off by focusing on one day at a time. I also believe watching porn, it becomes a habit & we can learn to change our habits. And I totally agree Dr Trish it's a process.
@adilhassan513215 күн бұрын
the internal motivation, thats soo true. Once you know its destructive, it has no good, it has nothing real, once you realised am ready for a session but realise that you would be crying in that place where you had session and that it never stops and it will ask for this again and again, the journey starts.
@adilhassan513215 күн бұрын
for me the biggest THING that i did or that meant the most to me in my journey was" The Self Realisation". How destructive this thing had became for me and I was thinking like today it wants me to watch once, tomorrow again and twice, the 3rd day thrice, when is it gonna stop.... and I realised there wasn't any stop, the wheel never stops, it just goes spinning and spinning and spinning until I realised the only way to stop this wheel of perpetuity is to break the wheel. After the struggle of 3 years, I finally did that. Its my clean day 79 and am still trying to learn every day and try to stay away from literally everything that might have a chance to give me some bad thoughts.

Day 13 here, just started on the journey. I don’t know what’s the first thing to help me quit for good but what prompted me to embark on this journey in the first place was stumbling upon your videos a while ago and realising what I was doing to myself

Thank you so much for the video! I think quitting porn is the starting point but as both of you said it is the underlying struggles which need to be addressed to really understand which needs you have and what you can do to fullfill them.
