One thing probably no one knows is that if you quickly press the AUTO button on the left temp control dial, it will place your A/C into Eco mode. Press it again to de-activate. You’re welcome.

Let me tell you! I have owned a Premium Plus A3 for 3 years now. There's a few things i don't like. I'll start with the plastic water pump. Transmission sounds cheap as you can sometimes hear it moving from one gear to the next. Sometimes shifts are late at higher RPM(Even in Manual Mode). On the positive side. In 3 years i have accumulated 40k on the odometer and i have only had to replace brakes, spark plugs and tires. So far, it's been a good buy for me.

Xenon headlights require washers as without them dirt will scatter the beams. It's necessity not so much convenience. Legal requirement here in the UK, so you can't just swap out lamp units/bulbs.

Do you know if apple car play is in the 2016 pre facelift? I don’t see the usb where you connected yours at on the model I’m looking at. Will be going Saturday to test it but would be nice to have apple carplay.

Good stuff! didn't know about the wiper service mode I just open the hood you can get them from the inside. With the foglight button I have the pre-facelift 2016 prestige and it's there so maybe it's on a package? I hate the washers I turned mine off with OBDEleven so I don't spray crap on my clean car when i use the wipers. The auto folding mirrors on lock is a nice option as well not sure if that's on by default.

When your in auto mode and use the paddle shifters and want to quickly go back to auto mode just hold the + shifter or press down on your gear selecter as if your going into sport mode

You dont actually have to manually move the wipers back into place. the car does this automatically as soon a you put ignition on again. but good informative video 👍

Good god, I owned an S3 for 3 years and now I have one of the new RS3s and I had no idea those little squares in the front were for headlight washers. I can't tell you how much I wish the new RS3 had that gear shifter instead of the knobby finger thing they put in the new ones.

With the windows going down whilst holding the unlock button. It also works when locking the car. Just hold the lock button and they go back up.

Don't you have to tap then hold traction to fully turn off traction/esc. Or is that different than the rs3?

It’ll activate both ways. If you tap it’ll just turn off traction and allow you to activate it. But you can still hold for about 10 seconds and it’ll then disable everything fully

Can I please ask you about, at 8:02 there is a notification said " audi pre sense: currently restricted.." It happens on my car today when the weather quite heavy rain, I can't get that warning off. Do you know how to turn it off? I am driving a3 2017, thanks mate

Sooo that pre sense is the front sensor on your front bumper. Sometimes when it rains hard or snows etc it’ll trip it because it’s blocking the sensor.. even happened to me once when a person crossing the street with a dog passed a bit too close. I’m sure it can be turned off but not sure how to do it with obd11. It can be unplugged BUT then it will show a warning

Anyone know why my A3 8v facelift MMI random loses audio quality like listening to mp3 songs that are 320kps sound like they are 160kps? And randomly after months for a week or so ir regains de quality then loses it again with the same music files? No matter if it is SD, USB, Bluetooth or CD. The few times the sound became good were when I changed for a new smartphone (after connecting a new phone became good instantly), when I changed the oil (after came the workshop the sound was awesome), and when my father took my car for a trip and listened to rádio all the time the sound become good again but only lasted for 1 or 2 weeks all those times... Tried to repeat all those things and nothing changed

Make sure your headlights are on and try again. Also If your washer bottle is too low then it won’t prioritize the headlights. Washer bottle needs a good amount in it to spray

Hmmmmm tbh I’m not sure I have a friend with a 16(pre facelift) and18 A3 that has the headlight washer and it works. Try putting on your high beam with the headlights on. Make sure headlights are not in auto and try again

Mine’s a manual and auto releases. Very handy for traffic lights & hill starts. The seatbelt needs to be clipped in for it to work.

The front fog light thingy is actually an apex light, they switch on automatically if you take long corners to give you extra visibility throughout the corner 😅

*When the car's off and locked you can have the city lights (next to auto) still on. You'll see half of each of the backlight leds on. *Car's off and locked, the city lights on and the direction indicater up or down. You'll see the corresponding right or left led on. Visibility for street parking. *Unlocking the car when dark the main beam will automatically go on if 'lights when unlocking is on' and switch set to auto. *When dark the main beam will turn on when 'lights when getting out is on' switch set to auto, ignition is turned off and the door is opened. Stay on after locking the car. Automatically turn off after half a minute.

Are you sure? If I’m not mistaken 2017 and up should all have car play as long as you plug in a correct wire. It’s possible you may need a firmware update for your infotainment system to have it available

I have a 2017 A3, I have apple/android interface but its not where yours is. My USB is in the center arm rest, there are two in there, the one on the left does the car play, you can also plug in a USB with videos or music on it and play them directly from there via the media selection button.
