I am looking for a frame I have recently seen on a couple of Asian dramas. I don't recall if I was watching a CDRAMA (China), KDRAMA (Korea), JDRAMA,(Japan). They appear to be round frames but have a distinctive and pronounced nose pad built into the frame and are part of the design of the frame. It sits flat against the nose. It sits lower than normal. I think I saw them on men and women. These are 2024 dramas...so might have been filmed in 2023. They are so cool. Any tips on where to find these?

I'd love a pair of glasses that didn't fill my entire face. Small glasses literally haven't been 'in fashion' for a decade so I've been having the same pair reglazed every time since then. They're on their last legs. I hate fashion sometimes - I just want what suits ME.

I saw your video with interest as I've worn glasses for decades both metal and plastic and I have a high prescription. I now prefer a plastic lense because as you said regarding the Ahlem (Dragon) frames, the plastic hides the lense thickness. Also, not an oversized frame for my face and prescription, which is a progressive lense.

*I think you might have made a mistake re Reykjavik Eyes, Isak:* I can’t determine if it’s your script, or the pictures. You mention details such as _“single piece of titanium,” “no screws,” “no solder joints,” “no springs”_ &c… However, at ~4;48, you can clearly see what appears to be a hinge mechanism and screw. It’s possible that what appears to be a screw is actually a rivet. But that’s moot re your claim of _“single piece of titanium.”_ If it’s a single piece, what’s going on with what appears to be a hinge mechanism? *How-and why-can a single piece of metal have a hinge?*
@thespectaclefactory7 ай бұрын
No mistake. The frame starts off life as one sheet of titanium, is then laser cut, pressed, and folded into the shape you see here. The end result is not one-piece, but this process eliminates the need for screws and solders. If I say 'the frames are one-piece titanium', then that would be wrong, but if I say 'constructed from a single piece of titanium' then that is accurate.

I have designer frames that are more outstanding than any of these! The first are purple sunglass frames from Ray-Ban, and the others are sunglass frames from Johnny Was. Both were made into prescription glasses, and both elicit compliments whenever I wear them. Some of us keep looking for years before finding what we want. Much of what is offered on the optical market is too boring. Please encourage your designers to “live a little!”
