Kiryu works great both as a hero and a villain which makes him so fun, reflecting the nature of his organic counterpart rather well, and show is just a awe inspiring walking weapons rack, it seems every part of his body can shoot a laser or missle or do some other insane things, and even as a robot theres still a brutal personality there..like a stoic general with a hateful outlook.

@@Coolbk17 @CoolBoy Kamo No, I'm trying to paint a visual for everyone. Just imagine the possibilities of a Wayne or Luthor or Fallout Universe or a Peter Parker based suit of Powered Body Armor. Yes, I do understand that Wayne and Luthor and Fallout all have Power Armor/Body Mechs, but imagine them being slim-lined like a Stark MK based armor. UNSC and ONI had Mjolnir, but it wasn't as agile and aerodynamic. The 40K is bulky but same with the Halo variants. The Wayne's Beyond suit was dope but didn't have equivalent energy munitions like arc reactor blasts. Luthor was just lazy and was mostly melee and green energy blasts. Jet-Pack RoboCop doesn't count seeing as how he is his suit. If the Guyver didn't have so many drawbacks and weaknesses, it would prob be the ultimate, if not for the SCP Suit. Being in that SCP Foundation Suit is like being in an illusion while being aware and not having full free will. *MechGodzilla variants* Ultron's MG Star Trek's Borg MG DC's Cyborg MG Kamen Rider MG Skynet/Legion MG Fallout's Mechanist MG Transformers' MG Star Wars' The Empire MG Anyone, feel free to add to this list.

I think that Mechagodzilla's 3rd design in 1992 owed much of it's look to 1987's Robocop, the rolled and stamped look of which was itself a reflection of Detroit's automotive industry design aesthetic. Not that manga and anime mech designs didn't have their own (largely unacknowledged at the time) influence on Hollywood designs of the era...

I would speculate the Mogera from "The Mysterians" is actually the first Mechagodzilla. The shape of the legs and the fact that it has dorsal fins and a tail indicates, to me, that it may have been a Mechagodzilla concept. At least it wouldn't shock me if that was the case.
