I’m a nets fan who is not from NY or NJ. Ok, hear me out. I’m from Cincy, we don’t have an NBA team, KD is my favorite player and I’ve rooted for him my whole life, so naturally, I rooted for the nets. Getting older, I decided that following a team is way more fun than following a player from team to team so I decided to stick to the nets. But I will say that even w KD and Kyrie gone, im still a nets fan. You can call me what you want but I wouldn’t call myself a bandwagon.

I’ve been a Yankees fan since my uncle gave me his favorite Yankees hat on December 2, 2009. I was big into baseball at all at 9 years old but my uncle was a die hard Yankees fan and he was my biggest hero. I remember it like it was yesterday, I had asked him for the hat for so long and he had always said “Not yet, the good luck hasn’t work off yet😉” For years I would get that response, until the day I didn’t. A few days later on the 11th he took his own life. People have always called me a bandwagon fan for the hat and I never had the heart to tell the story to strangers until now. I really don't get why Andy Reid is considered such a likable person. My family’s has been in Texas since before the cowboys were a team and they lived in forth worth a 38 min drive to the cotton bowl and my family has been warriors fans since the 80’s because some are from the bay

I hate the Dodgers and the Yankees but this Red Sox fan will call foul on you for even suggesting that their fans are bandwagoners. The Dodgers have led the MAJORS in attendance 35 times since arriving in LA. The Yankees fans, while obnoxious, are loyal whether they are praising or criticizing their team. The Red Sox fans are every bit as loyal as Yankee and Dodger fans, but are universally loved for our pleasant and shy demeanor.

Nobody likes a bandwagon fan and it's worse to be called one when you've been a fan of your team for years. In 2014, I was walking in London when I saw a guy in a Bears t shirt , now here in the UK, it's common to see fans of all 32 teams and it's kinda customary to acknowledge a fellow NFL follower. So as our paths crossed I greeted him saying " Da Bears " he asked me what was my team so I opened my jacket revealing a Hawks t shirt. He then said " oh you're a glory hunter" insinuating that I only followed the Hawks because they won the SB. I felt so insulted that I took out my UK Seahawkers membership card dated 1989 and said look at this . His expression was priceless going from contemptuous to incredulous , then hand gestures from " Waynes World "saying "I'm not worthy " before rushing off. Go Hawks
