Great video. I would agree with the bands chosen with just 1 exception. I'd put Slayer in the honorable mention and put Venom in the top 10 In my opinion Venom is the beginning of all extreme metal including Slayer 💀

If you consider Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple as metal, you don't know about music.

They were both groundbreaking bands at the time. Metal didn’t just start in the 1980s, it had evolved from the 10-15 years before.

Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple are not metal but hard rock at most. And speaking of influence, why not go back even further - to Jimi Hendrix, who inspired Blackmore's sound on In Rock? But why bother with such remote influences? The first LP that can be considered "metal" without any shadow of a doubt is Black Sabbath's debut album. No other album prior to Black Sabbath's debut had this type of heaviness combined with dark, gloomy atmosphere that is associated with metal ever since.

Megadeth is only an honorable mention of the top 10 Metal bands of all time is blasphemous. Lol. 😂 just my opinion. Btw Maiden was formed in '75 not the early 80s.
