7:11 Wow, that's a rather spot-on Reagan impression there. Kinda reminds me of Mr. Burns for some reason... (yes, I know that Burns's voice was inspired from Reagan, don't @ me) 13:37 Yeah, "Glory of Love", Cetera's first post-Chicago solo hit, was released this year, but it wouldn't be released until June, the same month that the Karate Kid sequel came out. Had you waited a couple of months later to cover 1986, you would've had the chance to give it (the song, its artist and probably the movie too, depending on your thoughts on the latter) its fair share of bashing. Ah well, c'est la vie... Speaking of whom, I am now totally convinced that Peter Cetera has a long lost British cousin, and it's the guy from The Hollies, aka the third guy from Crosby Stills & Nash (and sometimes Young). Thanks again, Chris!

I think the entire point of hands across America was to demonstrate that we at least had solidarity enough for that and could therefore also work together to solve homelessness. Unfortunately, the line was broken, though the causal link with homelessness today has yet to be determined. Yes, I did join hands with people at that time.

The reason the 80s were awesome is everyone in charge was on coke. They made epic Ninja movies where Ninjas shot lasers at army guys, we got Dolph Lundgren as not one, but two superhero guilty pleasure flicks, Chuck Norris on motorcycles that shot rockets and bombs out of the tailpipe, Stallone in an arm wrestling movie and 65 year olds (Charles Bronson) waging a one man war against street gangs. Those who missed it in the multiplexes, got to see these glorious films on TV every week because there were only 23 channels in 1995. The fact then Howard The Duck came out this year, and gave us duck boobs is where the coke peaked, and therefore the music got wussier simply to counter the sheer madness on screen.

Ooh, Polka Party beatdown! To be completely fair to that album, it suffered from a very unusual lapse in Weird Al's choice of songs to parody. The style parodies on that album - "Dog Eat Dog", "Good Enough for Now", "Christmas at Ground Zero" - are fantastic, but whatever possessed Al to parody Mick Jagger's "Ruthless People"? And while "Who's Johnny" is not on that level, it's not good either.

"Working Class Man" was used for an Optus (Australian phone company) ad in 2015. I'm pretty sure there was a previous use in the 1990s, but I can't find any corroboration for that. The song was written by Jonathon Cain, founding member of The Babies, keyboardist for Journey from 1980 and founding member of Bad English. Cain has been married to that prosperity gospel ghoul, Paula White, since 2015.

I like it, but mostly just the chorus. 2. It’s… not good. Honorable mentions: Meh; Never heard it; Meh; Never heard it; Don’t remember it; It’s OK; Never heard it; Love it!, Meh. 1. Never heard it. All in all, not much disagreement, but you should be tarred and feathered for even referencing “If She Knew What She Wants” in the segment. That is probably in my Top 3 of the week.

Pretty funny how one of the songs it related to a movie with a character named Johnny 5 considering there is a real-life guitarist named John 5 who's played in the backing bands of artists like David Lee Roth and Rob Zombie (and, regrettably, Marilyn Manson) and most recently as touring member of Motley Crue, plus collaborations with an absurd variety of musical artists. Based on the Wikipedia page, however, the genesis of his stage name doesn't seem to have been at all related to that movie. Still funny though.

33:30 “‘Broken Wings’ was awesome, can we all agree?” Sorry Chris, I can’t agree with this one. “Kyrie” blows “Broken Wings” out of the water. “Kyrie” actually had a build-up that pays off beautifully, and it keeps building, getting bigger and better with each part. It’s an 80’s masterpiece, in my opinion. “Broken Wings” is the exact opposite; it drags, feeling like an infinite build-up with an absolutely weak payoff. Also, the lyrics, despite being inspired by an Arabic book (Kahlil Gibran's novel of the same name), are far more generic.

I’m a 3D Worldrunner guy myself. Yeah I know…inferior knockoff. Also number 3 reminds me of a song by Michael Bolton called “Can I Touch You There.” Mid 90s Bolton…it’s as bad as it sounds. Pretty sure that thing charted too. I remember it being played on the radio…a lot. And it had a video that got played to death on…wait for it…VH1. Because of course it was on VH1. Guitars and basses without headstocks are indeed stupid looking! I never understood why they became a thing…”hey man this looks so futuristic and tiny!” If Prince played the Super Bowl halftime show and did that pose with the guitar behind the curtain to make it look like his wang with one of those guitars it’ll look a like he was circumcised by a drunk rabbi! That’s why I got a double neck guitar…two wangs!!! Not really…it didn’t hurt though.

10) DeBarge: he ran out of ideas by 86. 9) Springsteen ripoff. 8) The type of song you'd hear being sung when pissed (drunk). 7) Nikita isn't that bad, but it's that typical 80s mid power ballad. 6) It's OK for a power ballad, but it's pretty generic. 5) I was 11 in 86 and unaware of this song being a kid in London, but charity songs are shite. generally, including this one. Generic lyrics, generic power ballad, generic vocally, just toilet. 4) This tinny sounding electro beat needs to stay in 86. 3) One soundtrack song that should never have been released. John Taylor should be embarrassed. I'm thinking that he had the storyline of the film in mind, but this is awful. 2) Just no. There are reasons why sometimes covers shouldn't be recorded. This is one of them. 1) Should spoken to Crosby, Stills and Young before releasing this.
