What happened to Madi justifies Bellamy being shot. Had Bellamy been the one to tell Bill about Madi and the book he would be the one to blame for Madis “death”. There would have been no redemption for him. Fans would’ve hated him for it. And technically speaking on a way what happened to Madi was Bellamy’s fault. He’s the one who made it so she took the flame. Without the flame she would’ve never had those memories.

There's a certain realistically tragic irony when that which you tried to prevent, still happens anyway. Doesn't mean that Clarke was wrong to try and prevent it by taking out Bellamy, who was the immediate threat. It just means that it wasn't enough. At least this way, Madi's doom is not directly on Bellamy's hands. That would've been a worse outcome.

This same result would've happened if Bellamy lived. With or without the book, Bellamy was telling Bill. And he couldn't have stopped Cadogan any more than Levitt could. Clarke eliminated the immediate threat to Madi in front of her, as her options dwindled. (Not saying anyone has to like it, just that this is the storyline set-up as given.) If Indra had killed Sheidheda, then he wouldn't have told Bellamy, or Bill, about the book. But then again, Madi wouldn't have made those drawings if Bellamy hadn't had the flame put in her head, against Clarke's wishes. You can go around and around like that. But what happened, happened.

Yeah but it was still poorly written. There was no build up to his death. And Clarke could have easily shot the other disciples first then knocked Bellamy’s ass out and taken him with her. Also Bellamy’s character has grown from a follower in season 3 to a leader over the seasons. Having him become Cadogan bitch all of a sudden just regresses his character development back to season 3. That’s my main problem with it rather than the book shit

I agree that it was rushed. And affected by BTS issues. But just based in the characters... in my view, people often come down to patterns of behavior... and it does fit Bellamy's pattern. Clarke didn't have time, or enough bullets, to shoot everyone, knock Bellamy out, and carry him thru the anomaly. Cadogan would have sent invisible soldiers to retrieve Bellamy... and Bellamy would've told about Madi. Bellamy just wasn't Clarke's priority anymore, it happens. So she eliminated the threat in front of her.

So having her immediately switch back to obsessing over madi also regresses her character back to season 5. I’m just saying her these characters have developed and it seems that development was thrown to the side for some shock value.

@@Jayden-fg8on Clarke said she was going to kill herself in season 6 finale if Madi wasn’t in her body anymore because her mom died and if Madi died she wouldn’t have anyone anymore. So even if Bellamy was alive in that moment, that wouldn’t be strong enough for her to not feel like she got no one left. And she met Bellamy for one year and Madi for more than six. She can care about Bellamy and consider him family, of course, but Madi was and still is the most important person for her. She had no time and he was a threat to her person.

I do get that the way it was handled was really upsetting to Bellamy fans. Especially when Gabriel got an emotionally touching send-off in the very next episode. But honestly, I think most parents would do almost anything to protect their child. So Clarke doesn't seem obsessed to me... just a mother. And characters' mindsets change. Just because Clarke promised something in the past, doesn't mean that it's set in stone. Changing circumstances can affect our mindset. I feel like they should've just killed Bellamy off earlier, in a more valued way.

This was sad because Eliza had a miscarriage recently before having to do that seen so she brought her real pain and hurt to the scene and they killed Bob Morley off because he was having a hard time and wanted some time off and it turned into a big issue so they killed him off he wasn’t supposed to die they rewrote the script and that’s why Clarke was crying so hard when she had to kill him cause she didn’t want to

Bellamy, been here since season one, got killed and didn't get a proper reaction, a proper burial or even a decent death scene. Theyre not gunna rewrite the ENTIRE end of a show because someone had a miscarriage, which btw happens in 1 in 8 pregnancies. Don't compare a living child to a foetus. Its actually incredibly disrespectful to woman who have lost living breathing children. Eliza had a job to do, im sure if she had a problem with it she'd have voiced her concerns.

HECK YEAH, ONE EPISODE LEFT AND THEN YOU MOVE ON TO A NEW SHOWWWWW. the episode was mehhhhhh. The 2nd half of the season was so boring. I enjoyed the first half. "Everyone I love dies" or you kill them Clarke lol. Clarke/Gaia storyline was SO DULLLLLL When i think of season 7, I hink of Echo, Octavia and Hope. Those three dominated this season. I love Octavia again but it has not been balanced at all. Such a shame.
