@rob yes I am embarrassed by the wiring but I was in my twenties and working on limited knowledge and budget…….a lot of it is very cringe worthy today. Also that Ground control suspension setup was always a pain in my ass…..I’ll be glad to see it go. 😁.

I got rear ended in my FC, you don't want to put the surge tank there. It will 100% get crushed if you have a rear end impact. I was lucky that my spare tire was in there to prevent the rear beaver panel from completely crushing, but that was the only thing that stopped it and that was a low speed impact, maybe 20mph.
@Murgledoo
@Murgledoo 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think the the spare is there for safety. And to have something between the back of the car and the fuel tank to absorb the impact. May want to rethink removing the spare or perhaps find something that can absorb the impact in its place.

Just wanted to say that the suspension on the car was Ground Control's Coilover adapter kit. Allows Oe replacement struts with optional height adjustment. A surprising number of people praised them back in the day for AutoX and mild track use. I never understood why they didn't include a zero rate or helper spring for a full droop situation.

I had one of those lithium jump packs (not that brand but similar size), used it on a dead battery on an 08 civic every day, and it started every time without fail, in Wisconsin through a very cold winter, still had 2 out of 4 lights on the charge meter at the end of the season when I replaced the battery and hadn't charged the jump pack once. Those things are amazing.

When I cleaned the carpets on my truck I rented one of those nice carpet cleaner machines and I spent about 6 hours total on the front and back carpet to get all of the staining out and then I put them back in the truck while they were still damp and ran my dehumidifier inside the truck for about 24 hours and it pulled about 2 gallons of water out of the carpets and they were completely dry and they look brand new.

I used to own a 1990 Turbo II. It has always been my favorite car to drive. The handling is insane! It also had the shortest throw shifts of any thing I've owned. I loved how accessible the plugs and oil filter were. Made it very easy to maintain. I sold it and then spent years trying to find something that compared to it as far as power and handling. I ended up settling for an FR-S ultimately. My turbo II would still jerk a knot in the FR-S though.

Rob, next time you have old tint that you need to take off - grab a black trash bag (big or small whatever fits application) and 409.. spray the 409 over the window then proceed to lay the trash bag over the window - close all the doors and let it sit for over 45 mins. after it has sat for 45 mins remove the trash bag then slowly peel one end and BOOM like butter, brings all of the tint and glue with it.

I used to drive my buddies white turbo 2 back in 1999. I would lend him my 93 rx7 and I would drive his turbo 2. I loved driving that car also.

Sir, if you were closer to Indiana hahahaha but seriously of you were I'd clean all of the interior and detail whatever else you needed done, and the cost would be free for you so that you know it was done right. Have a good one and enjoy some Thanksgiving too!

Anything with ammonia eats the tint. I’ve used invisible glass on my car’s glass so I wouldn’t have an issue later on. Plus it works really good.
