@rob yes I am embarrassed by the wiring but I was in my twenties and working on limited knowledge and budget…….a lot of it is very cringe worthy today. Also that Ground control suspension setup was always a pain in my ass…..I’ll be glad to see it go. 😁.

I got rear ended in my FC, you don't want to put the surge tank there. It will 100% get crushed if you have a rear end impact. I was lucky that my spare tire was in there to prevent the rear beaver panel from completely crushing, but that was the only thing that stopped it and that was a low speed impact, maybe 20mph.

Yeah I think the the spare is there for safety. And to have something between the back of the car and the fuel tank to absorb the impact. May want to rethink removing the spare or perhaps find something that can absorb the impact in its place.

Throw some thick steel tubing around the surge tank spare tire area, either inside or outside under the bumper, so you don't have to worry about a rear impact igniting your perfectly kept hair

Just wanted to say that the suspension on the car was Ground Control's Coilover adapter kit. Allows Oe replacement struts with optional height adjustment. A surprising number of people praised them back in the day for AutoX and mild track use. I never understood why they didn't include a zero rate or helper spring for a full droop situation.

I had one of those lithium jump packs (not that brand but similar size), used it on a dead battery on an 08 civic every day, and it started every time without fail, in Wisconsin through a very cold winter, still had 2 out of 4 lights on the charge meter at the end of the season when I replaced the battery and hadn't charged the jump pack once. Those things are amazing.

They work great. One of those lithium jump packs was able to start a 2008 1500 with the magnum V8. What makers it impressive is that the battery was dead, and it was -45°C out.

One of my good buddies had a 10ae, it was my first experience with a rotary engine. I kind of helped him build it. Street port, Hal tech, 76mm, nice wheels and suspension. That car was a rocket ship at the time!

When I cleaned the carpets on my truck I rented one of those nice carpet cleaner machines and I spent about 6 hours total on the front and back carpet to get all of the staining out and then I put them back in the truck while they were still damp and ran my dehumidifier inside the truck for about 24 hours and it pulled about 2 gallons of water out of the carpets and they were completely dry and they look brand new.

I have something similar to the micro start (hand held lithium Ion battery) 1200 amps. It's started my 6.4L Turbo Diesel with 2 dead batteries. Absolutely insane technology, a must have for any person who have a battery powered automobile. 🙏🤙

Those popup headlights are beautiful. I used to use mine even with the headlights off as a driving aid. Id line the white line of the road up to certain sections of them as a gauge to know how close i was the the edge of the road.

They really aren't on the road. I have an FC and in the Facebook group for RX7s/Colorado basically they do a meetup or two a year, and half cant make it because of the state of their cars.. A little sad as mine also doesn't drive atm.

I would love to do the dowel method as well and will probably do similar in future to bulletproof my REW s4 rotating assembly Frankenstein block. Makes me thankful that I had the opportunity to buy a really clean TII. Even though it's stock it's still had a lot of hands on it over the past 35 years. I don't drive it much only about 1000 miles a year. I drive it on track about three times a year and I enjoy the hell out of it. And You're a man after my own heart, I have an engineering and machine shop where I make a lot of parts for the FC. We're a small community, keep up the good work!

I used to own a 1990 Turbo II. It has always been my favorite car to drive. The handling is insane! It also had the shortest throw shifts of any thing I've owned. I loved how accessible the plugs and oil filter were. Made it very easy to maintain. I sold it and then spent years trying to find something that compared to it as far as power and handling. I ended up settling for an FR-S ultimately. My turbo II would still jerk a knot in the FR-S though.

Rob, next time you have old tint that you need to take off - grab a black trash bag (big or small whatever fits application) and 409.. spray the 409 over the window then proceed to lay the trash bag over the window - close all the doors and let it sit for over 45 mins. after it has sat for 45 mins remove the trash bag then slowly peel one end and BOOM like butter, brings all of the tint and glue with it.

I'm glad to see you fulfil your dream of picking up this car, some reward for all the hard work, plus it proves my saying " good things happen to good people" you are happy found one of your dream cars and going by your Instagram pics found someone who makes you happy well extreamly happy. One thing that won't make you happy will be if you get a ding on your door when you have it on the lift, I wish they would sell these things with padding, some foam pipe insulation and duct tape or I'd ypu want it to look good you could glue some magnets into the foam so you could move them around, you could also use pool noodles as it's the same materials. Protect your investments sir.

When I was a teen I saved 2 grand and bought myself a 91 rx7... At the time I hated the fact It wasn't a 93 body style. But the rotary cool factor alone is what made me part with my cash.. as an adult watching your enthusiasm over this one here has made me realize, my car wasn't all that bad. And I do miss it. But when you are 18 and blow a water jacket on a 13b, and your dad laughs at u for buying "Japanese junk" u kinda lose hope.. but I will never forget the joy of hearing brapbrapbrapp..

Haha yes, I have that same microtec manual from my old 12a turbo RX7. Here in Australia microtec was the "go to" ECU for about a decade. The adaptor and cables came with the microtech handset.

You can use your shopvac to clean carpet, just remove the filter and its ready for wet use. The carpet cleaner is just a fancy shopvac. Just get some cleaner and wet the area to be cleaned and then agitate it by hand or with a brush and then suck it out, repeat as necessary.

Yes, The compression seems solid and fairly even for sitting a period of time( without lubricating it before hand to inflate the numbers a little bit ;) ) Now I'm not the owner of the car and hey, I know I don't have any say whats happening to it, but I would be more happy to see a new "built"-ish 13B in it. Like what most people would want to do if they had a cooked motor or wanting to be able to revert it in the future :)

Anything with ammonia eats the tint. I’ve used invisible glass on my car’s glass so I wouldn’t have an issue later on. Plus it works really good.
