In regards to crafting: their philosophy is ass backwards. You'd want seasonal weapons to be craftable because of how hard they are to get once it gets vaulted. You'd want raid weapons to NOT be craftable in the name of replay value

indeed, assume just going to roll those awards into the exotic missing this episode and put it in the rotator at the start of episode 3 like they have done before. As much as I liked collecting and crafting the weapons I needed, most of them I don't use. Same thing with weapons you get with RNG. Some become staples and some are vaulted. So many weapons with some just being the dust collectors in the off change they get used at one point but more than likely are out leveled or perked by the newer season/raid variants. With focusing I wish that the weapons was a 75-110% drop of only that weapon during the activity until you swapped off instead of a what seemed like with onslaught a 25% drop increase to that specific weapon. I don't think anything will ever fix the RNG issue without a revamp. It feast or famin depending on the account and how much time is invested playing.

This. I heard they were leaning away from weapon crafting, and that’s cool. But any weapon that will, without a shadow of a doubt, be completely un-farmable in the future, should be craftable. If there were only one reason for weapon crafting to exist, it’d be that. Plus, telling players to once again hoard random seasonal weapon rolls “just in case” doesn’t seem good for vaults.

@@Wardarkfox I rather like the engram focusing system, but the drop focusing from onslaught is good too. Tbh I think I’d prefer drop focus to be 25% chance from any drop and a guaranteed drop on activity completion. But, unless Revenant will stay after the next content release, I’d rather just work towards deepsight. There are already plenty of drops to be excited about, but half of them are world drops (traditionally unfarmable) and the other half are dungeon drops, which people do want, but aren’t often able to farm. Raid drops would sit with dungeon drops if they weren’t mostly craftable already, and now that you can enhance non-crafted weapons, the main reason people wanted raid weapon crafting in the first place has been pretty much solved.

I've been doing this since witch queen coz I wanted to take my time to enjoy the expansion. Lemme tell you, it has many advantages, the main one being, by the time you level up, everybody has made builds and guides and strats. So you have a plethora of options to choose from. Secondly, the game stays enjoyable for WAY longer! I strongly recommend taking your time. Destiny gets a lot more fun when not nolifing it.

Key things glossed over: Ex Diris moth cooldown was reduced but the 2 hits to spawn a moth will share the cooldown with it's kill from what it sounds like so you won't be seeing a swarm of them if you kill and multi hit enemies. Bad Juju also might be getting it's hidden explosion trait proc much sooner if that last line is hinting at anything.

14:41 Blight Ranger's effect will damage and blind on super cancel, not just whenever you want. Cross says "...and damaging or blinding enemies will give a Tier 4 arc damage boost." That bonus will apply on Arc Staff cancel. Definitely some synergy, but definitely not enough to make me want to run it or Arc staff for that matter

The biggest problem for me with the episode weapons not being craftable isnt rng. I really like that aspect and liked the concept behind Into the Light. My problem is the pressure on the vault space once again. With the episode/seasonal content being reprised each yearly (next year maybe different idk) expansion, the patterns would allow me to just craft them whenever i really need them. Now i will have to farm for a few rolls of each weapon just to store in the vault

Hearing all these changes especially the class identity for titans makes me think if we could go even deeper with class identity and maybe even rolleplay Like iam getting allot of ideas from baldursgate or warframe Like oaths you could make your guardian swear an oth for certian things lets say as Warlock you make the oath too let youre enemies drown in grenades so you can get 1 more grenade charge or it does a bit more dmg Or as hunter you make an oath too be more of an assasin on the battelfield so .... idk.... you can no longer use sidearms and shotguns but deal more dmg with snipers and handcannons stuff like this Or class weapons no exotics but a first person legendary weapon type that can only be used by a certian class Warlocks get a Grimoire that has allot of ultility too make more easely subclass effekts happen like freezeing enemys (these are just exampels so i can explain my ideas more easier) Or titans get an actual shield that they can wield too meele enemys and while they wield the shield they can use a secondary weapon too still shoot at enemys And hunter (iam honest iam not sure what weapon hunter would like too have as a class weapon) Maybe they get an martial arts weapon or throwing knifes as a weapon (i know they have already meeles as throwing knifes as abilities but i think it would be very cool too have first person throwing knifes as a weapon) These are just a few ideas i think would be very cool too see in the game. now is this stuff the community would like ? idk but if yes would this be even possible too make and could we make it happen? once again idk Btw most things i said was with mainly pve in mind so pvp players pls dont off me😂❤

My problem with not having the seasonal weapons craftable is the vault size. I don't mind grinding, but if these weapons are good then we'll want more then 1 version of that weapon. They need to increase the vault size, by hundreds. I shouldn't have to pick and choose what weapons to delete when there's clearly multiple god rolls of any weapon. Whether I'm using the weapon or just collecting a weapon for when they make that weapon good again. This is why crafting is important. And now with exotic class items, we need vault space.

As someone who has been using Mask of the Quiet One for a while (well over 2 years), it is good in the right situations. While critical health can leave you one shot, you'd be surprised how helpful that small health return can be. Had many moments in raids and dungeons where that saved me when at 1hp! Plus the 5% ability energy return on hit (per second) really stacks up when surrounded. With the long cooldowns on Titan, they'll return quite quickly. Now this helmet getting Devour added to it will only make it so much better. Takes the already existing risk it asks for and turns it to punishing the enemies for daring to lower your shields. Takes some time getting used to the style of gameplay MotQO asks for. But once mastered, you can become unkillable. Especially on Void. Funny how it went from being an Exotic to pair with Void to then no longer being the case to being back to that but for the full effect it grants. (Yes I am a very big fan of Mask of the Quiet One)

I don’t know why they are replacing the overshield with something the exotic is already going to provide. Best case scenario is the overshield stays and the 4x surge goes, replacing it with the ability to stack frost armor on stasis kills. But as the update is gonna make it, I can only have 8 stacks of frost armor and using anything the exotic provides will make the other effects redundant. Why would I need to build it FA stacks if I’m gonna have 8 stacks anyway. Why would I trade my barricade for frost armor if I can generate it through stasis kills? It’s synergy on paper but it’s mostly just redundancy on top of an ok effect.

This has ALWAYS been the issue. It's just not possible to pack enough things to do into any given season to ALWAYS have something to do. Bungie staff would be working around the clock like they're Mappa trying to put out weekly anime episodes. Either the content is timegated to keep up player engagement and draw out the story to fill out the season/episode, or everything is open and available all at once, leading a lot of the player base to gobble it all up in one go, then complain there's nothing to do. Realistically for something with the scope and complexity of D2, there's no middle ground. I can't think of a single live-service game that has THAT much to do on a daily basis.

I'll keep saying it, they fumbled on the crafting situation. Why make *seasonal* weapons focusable and *raid* weapons craftable. It should have been the other way around imagine getting a shiny raid weapon drop that would surely be a dopamine Rush. I also won't understand why they did it this way when just a few months ago they said, "we are having trouble keeping players in raids because they stop running them after getting all the patterns". Imagine focusing raid weapons like zaoulis and getting a shiny roll of that, now that's a trophy! In my opinion they just pissed off over half their community because of the loss of crafting for *seasonal* weapons. On the other hand hardcore raiders are still mad that the *raid* red border situation isn't addressed. Otherwise I'm quite excited for this episode. 10:00

I HATE not having the weapons be craftable screw the crappy rng. Even with being able to attune to a weapon it’ll still be trash. I attuned to lunas howl back at the beginning of into the light over HALF A YEAR AGO at this point, and I STILL haven’t gotten a single one to drop with the perks I wanted. Even when I do finally get it and that’s a big if, watch it still not have the proper master work or barrel etc. It’s near impossible to ever get the perfect god roll. No amount of attuning will change that. Make the weapons craftable again this is so dumb.

We know there won't be any crazy puzzle encounters because dungeons need to be accessible to the large community much more than raids do and it needs to be able to be done solo. Without any crazy mechanics the good players will wipe a couple times and then smoke the boss in 2 or 3 phases. the boys and i are going to attempts contest mode just to get icebreaker. i was 0-59 in ghosts of the deep for navigator before it dropped (yep! i had boosts from triumphs), and i do not want that to happen again so we going for the guaranteed drop. at that point, it wasnt joy that i finally got the item… it was relief of never having to do the dungeon after the caddy run.

When it comes to weapon crafting, I do like the option to craft what I want, but at the same time I really hate the grind for red borders being all there is to it. would be neat if had to work a bit to get the perks but nothing crazy like exotic crafted perks can get. Alternatively, I'm not opposed if guns were just like they were in d1, was neat having that randomized assortment of choices but still got to choose instead of it boiling down to "gun only has one batch of perks keep it or yeet it" kinda miss having a farm option to get not just one set of rolls but at least a couple perks I liked to swap between

Getting rid of craftable seasonal weapons is so counterintuitive. We’re literally going backwards. The main reason the engagement was so high in into the light wasn’t because the update was good, they introduced a slew of FOMO weapons and Super Black. Not for any real good gameplay reasons besides a serviceable wave defense mode but I guess we’re just gonna ignore that. If they really wanted to respect people’s time and still go ahead with their FOMO bullshit they could’ve made the normal seasonal weapons craftable and have the double perked “shiny” weapons non-craftable instead.

The hardcore gambling addicted sweats have been screaming because they got the rolls they wanted and that crafting is a plague on the game. Casual players who like to either live life or also play other games enjoyed not having to drop 100 hours into looking for a specific roll. I reality the difference between a God roll and crap roll of the same gun is pretty small and as sweaty players will tell you, they often end up using 3/5 rolls indefinitely so long as it has the one perk or stat they value above all else.

I really hope the next batch of exotic armor changes will target super exotics, namely the ones for roaming supers. One of the big differences in PvE between the good roaming supers and the bad ones, is that the good ones are boosted a fair bit by an exotic. It'd also be nice if we got some more exotics for said supers (6-shot Goldie needs one, it's so bad by default, and no amount of damage will make worth running).

The only way i can see spectral blades being used in PvE is if the light attacks apply volatile and the Heavy Attack is a 30% Weaken and they increase the damage AND consistency because you skate all iver the place. AND then they add a NEW attack on BLOCK where you throw "Void Kunai" that apply 15% Weaken and can Headshot
