How would you go about using it on say, for example, learning a language? Is it only 15 minutes once a day per topic, or can it be multiple times for one topic?

This is good info... but terrible introduction.... and speech layout. The introduction should capture the audience and have them wanting more. She has a great concept, but didn't package it well. She should of quietly walked out on stage and said: "What if you could change your life in 1 day? What if you could change your life in 1 hour? I'm here to tell you all you need is 15 minutes." Then tell the audience "I'm going to tell you how I discovered this concept, how I applied it, and how you can apply it to your life." That way they know what to expect and can follow along, and you have 3 clear points. And at the end, say "in conclusion" and recap your main points. Talking about Italy connects with the audience (assuming you're in Italy), but it's cringy to attempt to speak the language (and do that more than once). Make a comment about how hard the language is but you admire it or something like that. Why wasn't there a slide for the "ACE card"? She said she was passionate but there was no clear slide or example of it. And don't tell the audience "everyone loves this", or "it has changed people's lives". It feels like you're trying to convince them you're not a fraud. Tell them personal examples of how it changed yours alone, and that will make them want to apply it to theirs. Making a speech outline with a clear intro, body and conclusion would of made this speech alot more captivating. Wow. This was a lot of feedback no one will read. I'm not a speech expert, definitely an amateur, but this speech was so disorganized I couldn't help but notice. And there's a reason Tim Urban has 10 million views and this one has 10 thousand. Also, I liked her and her material, she just needs a little help. But it's been 3 years, so maybe she already got some helpful tips.

100% agree. A lot of extraneous waffle and not much detail but the general gist is... if you have a task you really don't want to do, time yourself for 15 mins and start it. Do that a couple of times and then after that spend as long as you like. She has posted this link on a neighbourhood app calling it inspirational. It is anything but.

Very intelligent, but the problem is, I've heard dozens of TED Talks that follow that formula and it really gets boring. I was only 4 minutes in when I scrolled down and read your comment, but she was still holding my attention (I can read, and write this, and listen at the same time). Now I'm 7 minutes in and already encouraged and definitely going to try this. Consider that she looks, talks, and acts in a way that many of us can identity with. That makes us believe that if she can succeed, we can too! A very professional-looking person with a polished delivery doesn't do that for me. She has written a book already...have you? 😉 I want to...so maybe I could try now...

Not everyone understands the psychology behind their procrastination... in fact, they may have had it beaten into them that they are just lazy so they continue to beat themselves up for that... maybe it's the person that doesn't understand simple concepts like that and call total strangers embiciles should first look in a mirror
