Columbia, ductile-steel garbage. The only thing that these old bikes have going for them is nostalgia. My bracket for rebuilds goes back to the mid 1980s, a time that witnessed the dawn of higher- quality bikes, particularly MTBs and, later, road bikes. Also what came in this time was standardization of metric for all fasteners.
