Fantastic! Don't know why I haven't watched this before. Recreating these scenes must be such a compromise between detail and authenticity! You have done very well sir!

The bufferbeam being part of its bogie must make it unique

HI Chris, this was a really interesting video, I really liked the historical content you included. Those early diesels were really pioneering for their day....................Am I right in thinking the Southern Diesels had an earlier version of the Sulzer engine which was also fitted in the Class 44/45 locomotives. Great stuff, and thank you for a really great video. All the best Dave.

Thanks for watching Dave, glad you enjoyed the vid. They had English Electric engines, but elements, including the bogie design were used in the class 40's.

Very nice Chris a personal favourite of mine. The dcc sound oddly has a horn not a whistle?

Thanks Mike, It's a lovely loco isn't it. As far as I'm aware, the chime whistle of 10201 was replaced in 1955 when on trial on the LMR. I do prefer the sound of the whistle though!
