My issue personally isn’t even it being on Apple as much as it being behind a subscription paywall. That’s what bothers me like I don’t want to pay a monthly subscription for one game. And yes it’s the only game on Apple Arcade I actually really want to play. I think it’s BS I don’t have the option to just buy the game like any other app game.

Ikr I hate the quest lines, the last time I played was when Speed Sim was actually good and you didn’t have to do quests to unlock characters, unlock new levels or just having to do them every five seconds. I miss the Speed Sim where to get stuff like new characters and levels you had to find character cards to unlock new characters and you had to do obbies to unlock levels. I literally played so many obbies in other roblox games to train for the moment I would unlock every level in only two or three minutes, which ended up being a colossal waste of my time when I finally hopped back on speed sim after months of not playing and ended up finding out that speed sim sucked now and you had to do long quest lines to unlock things. Even worse they removed Chemical Plant, that was literally the best level in the entire game because it was literally a farming spot for exp with how many chaos orbs were there, whenever I rebirthed I would go there to get to the level I was at before quicker. Speed sim literally sucks now, to anyone who hasn’t played, I don’t recommend it.

Hackintosh isnt viable for everyone or every computer. 1. It is not compatible with all hardware, for example I can't make my PC into a Hackintosh because I have an NVIDIA 30 Series GPU (3060) and 2. It takes a lot of technical knowhow to make a Hackintosh. Don't get all the Sonic fans hopes up LMAO Also other SEGA Apple Arcade games like Sonic Racing have been stuck on there since launch or even delisted in the case of that Chu Chu Rocket game, so I wouldn't be so sure about it coming to other platforms yet.

The exclusivity is a major sour note, doubly being on a subscription service that is *also* exclusive to those devices. On the other hand, one reasonably modern Apple device is all you need and you're set. I hate Apple as much as the next person, but I did plunge into a used Apple TV and it's become the main set-top device of my living room setup. I have a Hisense 4K Android TV, it was bad in 2018, and it's worse now. Apps take 15-20 seconds just to launch, the wi-fi drops out at random, it can't reliably play back HDR content from its own apps, and games are not even a possibility because of whatever cheap Mediatek CPU they've used. A Wii is almost a better streaming device. Up until I got the Apple TV, we'd use an Xbox One or PS4, which was fine but it had enough friction that anyone other than myself or my brother would struggle (parents look at them the same way Grim did in the first episode of Billy & Mandy). Now, everyone uses the TV, we all know how to use it, and I've even casually streamed RPGs off my Steam Deck. Sonic Dream Team's probably going to be the only thing that gets me to look at Apple Arcade. I tried that Castlevania game and, meh, it looks and plays like a cheap Castlevania knockoff that would definitely push ads or MTX on any other device. I'll play the Advance Collection over that one.

Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls WAS released for both Android and Apple, and it had so many MICROTRANSACTIONS. The Gacha system is so petty back when it was first released for Canada. And it was only released in Canada, I had to make an Apple Account for Canada. Then, the servers shut down, and re-release on Apple Arcade

I understand you opinion on Sonic Speed Simulator and won't pretend it's the greatest thing ever but it deserve more credit than you might think. The missions are a bit too grindy and repetitive and it's a very sanitize experience because there's no real threat anything chasing you but for some reason i found myself going back to it. The main reason is the big world map are genuinely great and fun to play in. They're not perfect of course and what i'm about to say may sound stupid to some but i genuinely think those map are a lot more fun, appealing and appropriate for a Sonic Game than the barren landscape of Sonic Frontiers with natural platforms, slope and rail for the most part (The New Yoke City map is a good exemple if what i'm talking about). I don't know if The next game will stick to the "hub world & action stages" formula but if the open zone gameplay becomes the main playstyle for Sonic and co, I think the hub world should be built similarly to those of Sonic Speed Simulator (but bigger). I think if they have the danger and the type of fun missions seen Sonic in Frontiers it be a great experience. As for the action stages, like i said gameplay wise Sonic should play like in the Open Zone but in a level design similat to Sonic Dream Team which is Open but more linear. I think a combination of those too thing would make for a great game. I would love so see a mode of it at least!

The reason why I hate Apple Arcade exclusives is because it gets trapped behind a subscription fee. Even if I wanted to pay for the game on iOS I can't because I'm stuck with it being stuck. iOS users are screwed either way because the game will never come to the normal App Store as a one time purchase. Games that were already on the App Store and then were put on Apple Arcade are different as at least those are still playable by non subscription owners. So as much as it would be great for those who are on other platforms later Apple users are going to be screwed over regardless by the dumb subscription. There's a reason why not even Xbox locks games behind a subscription with GamePass

While yes other titles have left exclusivity, consider this, SEGA specific has no history of that with their Arcade titles and in fact the exact opposite. So far their only title that has been exclusive and left, ChuChu Rocket Universe (a 3D sequel to the old Dreamcast game also made by HARDlight), was completely delisted and became lost media once their Apple contract ran out So if SEGA HARDlight specifically has a past history of just dropping titles for good after the deal runs out, that doesn't bode too well. On the flip side though, Sonic of course is a way bigger IP so maybe they wouldn't do the same just cause it's Sonic but you can't really go off the fact other companies did when those companies aren't SEGA and might have different intentions.

Hackintosh might not be the best option all things considered. Unless you run an AMD GPU or have a GTX 960 lying around, MacOS won't detect your GPU, and force you to use the integrated graphics. Dream Team looks decently good, and don't forget that modern iPhones are basically mini PS4s, even more powerful than a Steam Deck. Unless you have a compatible GPU, which is like 15% of the market, it'll likely run at 2fps if at all.

Wrongggg on Castlevania Grimoire of Souls. You must be thinking of the android/ios open beta they had in Canada only, when the game was still in gacha form. They took that version of Grimoire down, the only playable version of it that exists, now gachaless(apple arcade doesn't allow gacha) is on apple arcade. Kind of important if you're trying to use it as evidence that Dream Team may lose its exclusivity because it doesn't seem like Grimoire will ever leave Apple Arcade.
