I remember when I first saw an AES console at one of the local malls and was utterly astounded at the $600 price tag. I knew a guy that had one, a few years later, and got to play it a bit and was blown away at the quality of the games.

I love Neo Geo Turf Masters a perfect golf game that ever existed, and it is still being played on Fightcade, locally on home consoles, and arcades.

Forst! Oh, now you are speaking, my language. I have been an SNK fan since long before anyone even knew what an MVS 4-slot cab. Today, I am an AES/MVS/CDZ collector. On with the show... Fun Fact- Metal Slug X is not the third game in the series. When Metal Slug 2 was in development, it had a very tight release schedule. Unfortunately, a nasty bug made its way in the final build causing massive amounts of slowdown. Metal Slug X was created as a replacement for the second game.

Would've thought Blazing Star would've brute-forced its way into people's brains 😂 Hat tip to the other shmups: Pulstar, Last Resort, Viewpoint, Prehistoric Isle 2, Twinkle Star Sprites...odd not to see more given Neo Geo was basically fighting games and shmups. No Windjammers really is quite odd Probably more obscure, but Spin-master definitely deserves a top 20 spot. Best standard platformer on the system. Waku Waku 7 deserves a shout out too for being amazingly weird

Neo Geo was the greatest among the greats, but in my opinion in this list there are too many games of the same franchises 😐 (why not just picking only the very best one?) so it completely misses masterpieces like Kizuna Encounter, Windjammers or Blazing Star. Plus, Neo Turf Master is surprisingly low in positioning, and this should be considered as a crime! 😛 Neo Geo brings me a lot of memories, what a nostalgia trip for the arcades! 🥲
