An absolute masterclass in how a superhero story should be told and drawn!

Read it when first published it and was drawn in by the alternate history take on WW2 and then the subsequent decades. Bought all the hard back books again recently and found that the story has stood up really well. In my top 5 2000AD characters. A must!

Zenith... One of my all-time favorite superhero comics. I came across it pretty early on, translated to my native swedish in the anthology magazine Magnum, which used to mainly feature 2000AD content. Zenith informed many of my creative choices over the years; Yeowell's crisp black and white art has been a huge influence generally and I still absolutely love the bonkers story, the grounded characters etc.

I totally loved Zenith. Arguably the best superhero strip of all time with none of the usual clichés. The Lloigor used to terrify me back in the day and with good reason! Beings that became gods and tried to take over the universe. Not very usual in this genre. If you haven't read it I can't recommend it highly enough!

Utterly ignored by to many super hero comic fans, which is a real shame. i love Zenith, it really is one of the best super hero stories ever.

In some respects, the grandest venture in superhero comics. Moore, Claremont, Miller or Waid's best works are unforgettable and captivating, though the audacity and conviction of Zenith is almost irresponsibly compelling: a recklessness permeates the surface of the entire series, and appears to also motivate its' compositional pathos, although the closure of Volume 4 implies a subtle master-plan operating since the first issue... So that being said, if Grant Morrison was Zenith himself, perhaps his idol Michael Moorcock was the more submerged catalyst creatively pulling the strings, his Peter St John / Mandala: he steers Zenith (the series) into a larger tradition of fantastical escapist storytelling, placing it within a deeper canon, although even the mighty Mandala mightn't claim to account for the brazen energy of Zenith himself. At once, a tool of its' influence/rs, but also aggressively, shamelessly, itself: that Zenith and Mandala dichotomy is gloriously enjoyable and maybe deliberately meta...

can you help ???? I am trying to remember a storyline that I think was from the future shocks magazine. A human is transported to a world of 3 eyed aliens . does a 3eye female fall in love with him while a xenophobic police state (anti human) tries to track him down. does this ring any bells ????
