Another great objective review from Tom V. This car seems to get a lot of hate if for no other reason than the reused Blazer nameplate. $50,000+ seems a bit high for a top trim model. $40,000 would make it a great choice in this class.

J High, it has head room lesser than a Camry ( destroys the whole purpose of buying an SUV over a sedan) and yes, even for its most delicious styling, this is still way too overpriced considering you can get a better equipped and more reliable Santa Fe for at 7-8k USD less asking price or even go for the all new upcoming base model Genesis GV-80, and brother, that SUV puts even some of the best German luxury SUV to shame when it comes to design and styling. So no, all this hate is not unjustified and unnecessary. Chevrolet did make a very weak argument for a very poorly prepared car just hy naming it blazer, and even that never was a market leader to begin with. Hence.... 🤷🏼♂️

Hey Tom, I was against the Look of the new Blazer at the beginning. It’s starting to grow on me. I have a 2017 Impala LT with that 2.5 High Compression 4 banger making almost 200hp. Quite Adequate for the 3300LB Impala but I don’t think it would be enough power for the 4300LB Blazer. And I agree that the Infotainment Screen here is small compared to almost all other makes. And that TOP Spec Model should have more color on the dash and steering hub to break it from lower trims. And you’re right about pricing high and getting a deal That 2017 Impala LT with the PANO roof sticker was $34,500. I offered them $25K and they took $26,300. I know it was end of July 2017 and it was not a popular car which is a shame as I love it compared to Mid sized. It’s much much quieter and smoother and can still handle. Great Review as always.
@DrivenCarReviews4 жыл бұрын

Nerdy question for you Tom: When you slowly zoom into a shot, it is done by scaling the footage right? But if your final res is 4k, does it mean you shoot at an even higher res to give you freedom to crop and zoom when editing? Or do you film in 4k and accept a tiny bit of degradation by scaling up the shot to simulate a zoom?
@DrivenCarReviews4 жыл бұрын
I love nerdy questions. Sometimes I'm actually zooming on the camera. Others I do it in editing. This is the first review i've done in 4K since I'm trying out a new camera that is much more efficient than my Sony FS7. Even in standard HD, the small amount that I zoom in on using editing isn't enough to effect resolution much. So no, I don't "overshoot" as far as resolution is concerned. Besides, this is KZbin.
