@drivingsports4 жыл бұрын
There were multiple segments with Karleena and Ryan together in the car that were cut. That’s the main reason for masks inside the car. It was a series of sound level tests but they just took too long for their contribution to the storyline.
@Turqle4 жыл бұрын
It still showed them getting in one after another, though. And whether or not someone considers masks a conspiracy, there is almost no functional difference in airborne transmission between standing next to someone or standing where someone was a second ago. Aerosals still hang in the air and fomites still land on touch surfaces. Only direct sneezes are avoided. The whole "6-feet distancing" is just a simplification to avoid having to teach people the more nuanced mechanics. I also think masks in the style that Carlina (sp?) has look great.
@ElHolyBoy4 жыл бұрын
It's perfectly acceptable for them to wear a mask in the car if they choose to do it. If any private citizen chooses to do it as well. It sets an example. It reminds us that we're currently still in this pandemic. I don't see it as a problem.

I watch that channel also. I'll be honest, I hate this CVT. Not because of power issues but the constant hurkey jerky motion. I have a 2018 2.5 so it's a little different from the new turbo cvt. I do lots of deep sand driving and never had an issue with power.

To get the exact 36 psi in each tire, a tire pressure gauge with a pressure release valve should be used. Do not use the compressor pressure gauge. Each time the tire chuck is removed from the tire valve, pressure from the tire is released. Pump tire to 36.5-37.0 psi, then use a tire pressure gauge with a pressure release valve to adjust to the desired tire pressure.

Thank you for providing us with awesome information! I am picking up my Outback Limited XT in Autumn Green today! For future tire testing, will you be using the same Konigs throughout the series to keep the same wheel weight per tire tests? Or will you be switching up to a rally type wheel (Methods, etc)? I know those Konigs are almost 10 lbs less than the stock wheels and Method Rally 501s or 502s in 17inch are around 2 lbs less. I'm curious to see the gas mileage improve/decrease with the different weight of tires. If possible, you should weigh the stock set vs. Konig set and so on. When can we expect a Vredestein A/T release and test??? And I wonder how well those Konigs will handle light to moderate off roading over time? Thanks!

For those that have never worked in production or can't seem to think past what they're seeing on the screen: one is working with multiple individuals, people will be entering and exiting the vehicle to grab SD cards, adjust lightings, touch cameras, there may be a sound person in the vehicle out of view. It may be a measure to reduce respiratory droplets -- The list goes on. It's perfectly acceptable for them to wear a mask when seemingly, I say again seemingly, being alone. Take a peek at some behind the scenes footage of any film sets you'll be surprised how many individuals are involved even for seemingly solo shots. Lastly it sets a good example. a reminder that we're still currently in a pandemic. I'd say they're being good role models and being responsible content creators.

More of a first impressions than a tire test. Would be interested to see rain performance as well as snow and ice tested (in the winter, ice rink, or snowy mountain) against the other popular all-weather tires on the market right now. Long term testing would be nice too as durability and performance degradation may be worse than all season tires if it has a more aggressive tread pattern.

All Weather tires are pretty interesting. Just put the General Altimax 360 AW on my Honda Fit. Great grip in rain and ice (did a road trip to the Denver area). Problem with the Vredestein is weak sidewalls. My son curbed two tires and had to replace both of them (under the road hazard warranty); but I'd still be concerned with any hard driving, especially off pavement. I might prefer Michelin Cross Climate II on my Impreza, but the tire weight is an issue on an under-powered car (such as the Impreza). The Vredestein's are relatively light.

Great video and I subscribed due to the real-world testing you're putting the new Onyx XT through! This new model has my interest peaked. I drive a 2011 3.6r and was interested in what the capabilities have become, including more torque and XMODE smarts. I've maintained a kunf-fu grip on my 3.6 engine ever since they discontinued it (why they killed off such a bomb-proof motor, I don't get it!.) I put avg. 3,000/mo. on my car from Vegas up and throughout the Northwest, so highway-speed passing power, while loaded-down with gear and passengers is very important to me (i.e. not just a puff of air into an overwhelmed 4cly., then blown head-gasket). That being said, when you get to testing in the winter/snow months, may I suggest the Continental Terrain Contact A/Ts, as these have been amazing for me on, off, wet, and deep-snow bound roads. When you go from a 7J x 18 ET55 to 8.5j x 18 ET43 wheel plus 235tires vs 225tires (wider wheels, wider tread, plus wider track)...of course the car is going to corner a lot better, regardless of which tire you put on. Not really a fair test.
@RogerGarbow4 жыл бұрын
Actually if you look up the specs, the 235/60 Vredestein and the 225/60 Yokohama both have the exact same tread width: 7.3 inches. Does the wider wheel give it a slight advantage? Perhaps. But that would not explain the big jump in cornering ability. Also, all-weather tire vs all-season. Since the a/s is designed to perform optimally at higher temps, it should have had an advantage.
@ztekz4 жыл бұрын
Expected the all weathers to perform better than the OEM all seasons...what I’m more interested in to see is if you compare this to Nokian’s WRG4 all weathers which will be a fairer comparison. (All weathers vs all weathers)...also on multi surfaces testing (dry, wet, icy/slushy conditions)
