@@lajya01 that's how most canadians feel about politics and especially the parties/politicians in general. We just don't care, find it exhausting and stupid. And just think they're all corrupt at some point and just don't want to get caught up in stupid arguments over them which seems to happen in the US a lot.

@@jackamtg you can feel from the way he talks that something inside him really wants to put a negative spin on everything the Liberals or NDP do and a positive spin on the Conservatives. I think that he does a decent job overall at being relatively fair, which is why I, someone who leans to the left, am able to watch him without throwing my phone across the room (unlike when I listen to almost any other right wing person on KZbin or in the media). Still, whenever he says that the Liberals did something that was successful or the Conservatives failed at something, you can see that it pains him to say this. It's a natural response though, and difficult to control. I would be much worse at staying unbiased than he is.

Dude is just handing billions to big pharmaceutical companies for vaccines that we don't need. Covid is very treatable before the point of hospitalization, and once you've naturally built immunity, you'll have less than a %1 chance of reinfection, vs the something like %50-80 reinfection rate of people who have been vaccinated because the vaccine appears to be disabling memory T cells, so you become reliant on the vaccine instead of building natural immunity like a unvaccinated person would.

I would very much like to see a "policy stance" video. We had a small piece of that in this video like Erin O'Toole favouring a carbon tax, but seeing the policy stances of these party leaders much more clearly and on lots of policies would be great. Examples would be the leaders' stances on foreign policy, oil drilling, Quebec, healthcare, indigenous Canadians, prostitution, housing, etc. We saw bits of this in previous award winning JJ videos (notably oil) but seeing these issues (some of them not covered before) concentrated and clearly outlined in a video would be quite beneficial to those curious about Canadian politics.

Anyway Canada along with all of NATO had to go and were neighbors with the U.S, NORAD another treaty allows U.S jets to fly into Canadian airspace at any point in time for Canada's defense again we had to go. While in Afghanistan many Afgan's signed on to be interpreter's among other jobs that worked along side Canada. They sided with us against the Taliban, Canada fought the Taliban for 10 years in a war, the U.S fought them for 20 years, those people who sided with us should be protected by us not just for this war but to send a message that we protect our own. Leaving the people unable to complete their forms to come to Canada after working with our military, the government dragged its feet and seemed preoccupied with campaign issues and never really addressed the issue. It became something rather shameful in the eyes of many voters. You are right the broader picture of Afghanistan is not really our problem, it should have been a rather simple thing to help the people who we know worked with us free almost certain death, although the new Taliban seems to be offering a much more progressive style of governance, one can hope it is genuine.

Hey JJ, I'd love for a video breaking down all the major points each party will be campaigning for. What promises are they making? What demographics are they appealing to? How do these two things compare with the last election? It'd make voting a lot easier. Also, as a conservative yourself, I'd like to hear your opinions on splitting the conservative vote, what do you think about the western separatist party, and would you want that party to win hypothetically speaking? It'd also be interesting to hear what party you'd vote for assuming they'd definitely win. Considering some developments you mentioned in the video, I think a video about your personal opinions regarding the position of Indigenous Peoples in Canada would be cool. What is the root cause of their state in the nation today? Is this position exaggerated by the media? What is the solution? Are they actually afforded too many benefits in society if they choose to take advantage of all of them? Should we be proud to be Canadians? Are you proud? I think a video along this premise has the potential to be quite polarizing depending on what questions you pose and how you answer them which, of course, would generate more views. Another cool idea might be what you would do if you were head of the Conservative Party. Who knows, maybe that'll be the start of your platform for 2023, lol. I'd keep going but you only asked for four Saturdays. Hopefully you can get something out of these. I always think it's smart when creators ask for content from the audience. Makes life easier for them, maximizing profit with less effort. I'd assume coming up with ideas is one of the harder and more important parts of content creation. Not to mention it gives insight into the type of content the audience wants. Heh, you could even take none of the suggestions but we'd all assume whatever you made is what we asked for, increasing positive audience response to content. I wonder how much you think about these kinds of things being a creator yourself? Anyway, take it easy JJ.

Honestly? Because that "double standards" most likely prevented a more widespread rebellion against the restrictions. The Montreal Canadiens have not reached the Stanley Cup finale since the 90s. If the federal government had stopped them from playing in Las Vegas, they would have been perceived as using the health measure to stop the Cup from finally coming back to Montreal (even though they had almost no chance). And that would most likely have turned a lot of Quebecers right off of health measure. Which would have pissed off the provincial government as well because they would have imterpreted it as the federal pissing on all their hard work. Remember how much trouble we had convincing religious hardliners to shut their doors and follow social distancing and lockdown provisions? Well, Hockey is a religion in Canada, including in Quebec. This small-scale exception was a very small price to pay to keep the popular opinion from turning against health guidelines.

Just found you in trying to find out why they'd call an election at this time.. I will be following you and hope you'll cover the election. Thank you for aiding me in a little bit more understanding! Also, as a Southern Canadian I must say I've never actually heard so many "aboot's", "oot's" and "aroond's"! 😂

Perfectly reasonable to sit this one out JJ, considering voters will also be tuning out. Maybe a final roundup in the last days of the race

Damn, that was pretty bang on. I'm curious what you think of the actual in-depth platforms? The CPC and NDP at least have released some extensive and in-depth documents detailing their plans for Canada. The Libs... eh, not so much.

That's why I'll never vote liberal. If I was to ever vote left. It would be the NDP for that exact reason. Some of those things I'd really like to see happen. Like clean water to northern communities and full investigation into the RES genocide.

@@TheChuckfuc that's pretty much why I vote NDP. I like the concept of more moderate leftism through the Liberal party, but when you break it down to specific policy comparisons, the NDP starts seeming a lot more palatable

Probably why, with an election actually called, the Liberals quickly began slipping in the polls, allowing the Conservatives to take the lead. Odds are still high for a minority government at this point, though, and the Liberals clearly had better have an actual policy platform to advertise fast, if they want hope of their winning odds to come back to pre-election levels at all.
