I apologize in advance for my pronounciation of Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi's names. Relistening to my recordings I realized I had greatly mispronounced Xiaoshi's name. I sincerely apologize for this! I should practice saying their names some more, but till then I had to publish this video because I don't think this donghua is on people's radars and it makes me sad thinking the show isn't getting the attention it deserves.

Regarding their names: It's a (not very subtle) wordplay on the concepts of time and travel. - The given name of Cheng, Xiaoshi, means hour. - Combining their given names you get Shiguang which is a more formal way of saying time, focusing more on the "passing" aspect of time. This is also the "shiguang" in the show's official Chinese title "shiguang daili ren" - Combining their family names you get Lucheng which means "journey".

Cheng Xiaoshi can be separated. Usually when someone's full name has 2 syllables, you say their full name (for example Lu Guang, no one calls him just 'Guang'). But when someone's name has 3 or more syllables (for example Cheng Xiaoshi), you can just say the second part of their name. Saying just 'Xiaoshi' is fine.

Thank you very much for the video As a Chinese, I can relate to that disaster better. This earthquake became one of the biggest emotional scar among Chinese of the 80/90/part of the 00 generation. I was trying not to cry too much.

Episode 5 of Link Click utterly destroyed me and pretty much left me sobbing on the floor for half an hour. This is the best series (despite being short) that I've seen in the last few years. Can't wait for Season 2 this year.

Honestly, i agree it's really slept on sadly i don't see people talking about it at all but since it's a donghua nobody ever talks about it the animation is also different and people mostly judge by animations, so i hope it gets big.

Found this show by accident and I couldn't be happier. The episodes are great and the music is phenomenal. Wish there could be a backstory thing to see how they got their powers or how Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi discovered they had powers at all, but it would disturb the great plot going on. This was my first donghua too.

i also wish they delved into how they got their powers as well. Maybe if we get a seaosn 2 they will explain that a bit more? Or at least more of what happened after the two first met. My assumption is that they discovered it accidentally and if that is the case it would be a fun flashback if they showed how they figured out how their abilities work.

Both the subbed and dubbed are soo good i have never found an anime where both are very well done I totally recommend season 2 came out on the 13th with 2 episodes!! Which was something i wasn't expecting the op and ed is another banger they are so good the first ep of season 2 at the beginning is so sad 😢 but it gets better and then the 2nd ep were left with lu guang in the hospital and red eyed guy by his door so yeaa

Yep, love "Link Click", such masterpiece put together, can't wait for S2. Other suggestion I have for anyone interested in Chinese anime. "To be Hero" is directed by the same director of "Link Click" both Part 1 & Part 2 are pretty good. I would also recommend "The Outcast" and "Rakshasa Street"; these are my two other favor Chinese anime.

I personally disagree with you about the first episodes because the details of their ability were interesting enough to capture my attention! I haven't seen a time travel show like this before. (and i love this show and the characters a lot) But I agree with you about the 5th episode, that episode really convinced me to make a video on it! I just think more people should watch it!!
