The #FordF150Raptor has long been the king of off-road ready factory tuned performance trucks for well over a decade. Unfortunately, for Ford, Ram challenged that dominance last year with the spectacular TRX. For 2022, the #F150Raptor returns with a revised suspension, available 37" tall all-terrain tires, and a new dual mode active exhaust that should give its 3.5L twin-turbo engine a more distinctive sound. The new #FordRaptor should be even more capable off-road and #Ford will give the #RamTRX a run for its money when the #RaptorR comes out later this year.

Both the R and Lightning will be amazing vehicles, but dealers are ruining the experience for perspective buyers. On the Lightning, the markups have pushed it beyond the original decent price of entry. Then Ford is charging $13K just for an additional 70miles of range. Furthermore, I'm sure there will be ridiculous delays as well. As for the R, it is already been reported that Ford will extremely limit availability to perspective buyers, mainly by invite-only.

4:00 That front fascia is so damn sexy. 13:20 Ford actually nailed the 3.5 Ecoboost exhaust. All the previous years sounded so puny. This actually sounds good. Not a V8, but it sounds good.

Couple corrections. Locking rear open diff, torsen front diff. No center diff on this at all, 2 speed transfer case from Borg with clutch AND mechanical overlock engagement.

I like the option to order loaded without the pano roof, that’s what I did. Way less issues down the road! You nailed it, motor isn’t as great as TRX but 100% a better package overall.

@@Southernboy302 i ordered in mid Feb, got delivered ten days ago. dealer told me deleting the rear tailgate applique, and picking pano roof can speed up the build. the factory is in short of of the classic Raptor "FORD" applique.

I love the Redline Reviews. I am not sure why anyone cares about 0-60 or even 1/4 mile times in vehicles weighing approximately 3 tons or more. Almost everybody reports them though. As stated, styling is a subjective thing but IMHO, Ford has always had a better looking truck.....at least since the 67-72 C10. 😉

Very awesome and fun to drive! its very smooth and great real world drive ability built in. If you even think about gas prices then you should not buy a gas powered performance truck but don’t frown there will be plenty of electric and powertrain monsters for you to enjoy. Just remember every day you wait for the next best thing is a day you’re denying yourself the thing that you want most and life is too short not to enjoy the time you have.

Awesome review! Quick question, I've noticed that the new Raptor seems to have different rear turn signals (all red utilizing the brake light too) versus the regular new f150 which has a dedicated amber led turn signal in the rear and a separate brake light. Do you know why that is? Kind of wish they kept that amber led for the Raptor but I'm also still getting used to it too. Just seems like a strange detail to change, plus I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else and no explanation online that I could find.

Mostly a styling element to match the marker lights, front and rear. Notice the amber DRLs vs the white ones on a regular F150.

So it seems like the The 2020 6.2L Sierra AT4 is as fast or near as fast as this new Raptor you tested correct? I believe the GMC was under 6 sec. I’m not saying an AT4 is comparable to Raptor in terms off road capability but with the 6.2 catback exhaust, lighter carbon pro bed, it should be able to match it on the street while having plenty of off road capability for 99 percent of owners and being 20k less.

Unfortunately, the 2022 AT4X is about $77K, Raptor money for sure. Yes, the GMC is about as fast though. I think its more about the Raptors larger wheels and being slightly heavier as well.

my 05 Ranger 4.0 with a 5 speed manual and 4x4 gets a consistent 17.5 mpg average and thats driving it conservatively not going over the speed limit. Otherwise itd be getting anywhere between 9mpg and 20mpg, still cant replicate the 20mpg i got one time

I think that the fact this Raptor Spec does NOT have the Pano Sunroof makes it much much better. It use to be really hard to find a good spec with no Sunroof. It makes the struck stronger and safer i would imagine, especially if you roll the truck. AND you save 2k. just my 2 cents.

Ferrari, mclaren, Maserati all recently debuted v6s for the first time. Let alone the new tundras, and other full size Toyota trucks, going from 8s-6s. It is what it is. The world we live in.

All aluminum chassis? Wow... Get your facts straight. The chassis is steel with high strength steel. The body is aluminum and composite material. Ford has pissed me off along with others with no more supercab offering. Total crap ford... Not everyone needs a damn crewcab. I agree with the infotainment system, give us the ability to have control over the screen layout. If I need nav than I will bring it up with a dual screen. The graphics on both screens look very dated also. Ford needs to update the look to be modern, just horrible font/look. Love how everyone talks about the width of the Raptor and how one might have to adjust. I have only driven ford F150's for the past two vehicles, have not had any issues driving my 17 Raptor with the wider body at all
