As the smallest #Audi SUV in the lineup, the 2023 #AudiQ3 has the important role of attractive younger buyers into the Audi showroom. The latest #Q3 has been around since 2019 and is currently built on the latest MQB platform, that also underpins the smaller A3 sedan. A while back I was looking for a 2020 Audi Q3 and I did notice I hadn't seen recent reviews from you on this specific model. I did go ahead and buy it, and within about 4 years will trade it in for a new model Q5 that I'll hold onto for much longer. But it's great to see you reviewing this model again!

I did buy one. The Drive Modes include one called Individual. Click on the box next to the word Individual and you get some extra options for the vehicle. I always select the SPORT options there. AND, you can shift the transmission to stay in a lower gear to keep the revs up. Move the shifter lever to the side and then up or down to select a gear. For better performance

What's interesting is the heated steering wheel comes standard in the Canadian Q3, but it gets dropped when you get the Technology Package (Or their option that gives the adaptive cruise control and driver assist features). So, even in Canada where the heated steering wheel comes standard, it gets dropped with any of the driver assist features added like in the US configurations.

Not true. I have the advance driver assits heated steering wheel is still there. In Canada the only option that drops the heated steering is fi you opt for paddle shifters.

Great review. The reason Audi sells so many of these is the base model is such a good price point for getting into a vehicle with a Luxury name badge but if you start loading it up you are better going to an other brand.

Transverse engine with front-biased Quattro. But I like it. Good for my wife, thought the Q5 isn't much bigger and has more power. The EA888 is a very good engine, just wish that they would stop using plastic cooling system parts, etc.

I had a 2010 A4 Premium Plus, then a 2017 A4 S-line and now I have a 2021 Q3 Technik. The Q3 definitely isn't as fun to drive or as fast as the A4s BUT the tech, the styling and the way larger interior and storage areas suit my lifestyle more (the sedans can't tow a teardrop trailer or jetskis lol). Regardless, they all still have quattro awd so winter driving is a breeze and the Q3's ability to take regular gas is a real plus!

My parents got me the 2022 audi q3 sline premium last year when I got my permit and even though it is not as fast as my parents’ teslas that go 0-60 on 3-3.5 seconds, it’s a wonderful and luxurious car. They did it on purpose, getting better the slow one as they don’t want me speeding and ot is also really good on safety so that’s also why they got it for me as a beginner driver. I’m really grateful for it 🙏

As a 17 CRV owner that traded it in for a Q3, it depends on what you want out of your car. I knew what I was in for when I traded in a car that will outlast humanity for a car that definitely will not. For me, it’s not just about reliability. It’s about enjoyment. The touring model Crv i had was pretty nice, but the infotainment sucks, sound system was ok. Was not a fan of the CVT but at the time, fuel economy was important so I put up with it. If you don’t care about the driving experience and need a reliable A to B transportation, then stick with the Honda and put your savings in an index fund lol.

Thought about this, but I went with the refreshed Mazda CX-5 Turbo and found it to be much better and just as refined with many more features (vented and heated seats, heated steering wheel, 360 degree camera, larger back seat room, more storage, napa leather, quieter ride) and saved myself $12,000. This Q3 also looks very dated with an '80s vibe on the inside and way too much ugly hard plastic everywhere. Not for me.

Mazda’s 2.5 turbo has proven itself to be very reliable over the years. Plus interior trim has been going upscale for several model years now. The cladding needs to be toned down but colors like dark gray tend to reduce its unsightly presence. It does defend against rock chips though as a positive benefit.

I’ve been driving an S-line rental car. MMI is indecipherable, for example, stops playing music from CarPlay when you exit to adjust sound and then won’t let you change bass/treble as there’s nothing playing! Steering is 80’s Cadillac light and absolutely zero feel. Interior materials are crazy cheap, stalks are awful, feel like hollow plastic. The current Mazdas make this thing look stupid.

100%, I went from a 2014 S4 (lease) to 2018 S4 (also lease) and was looking around for a replacement. I was shocked by how loud and cheap the Q3 was in just a few miles of mixed driving. I got a 2021 A4 and I actually like it more than the S4s. (Way better transmission than the 2014, despite being the same on paper; MUCH better responsiveness than the laggy V6T/8-ZF combo in the 2018 outside of dynamic mode.)

They dont have the sportback because of regulations....it likely doesnt pass the IIHS and American safety standards vs Euro Ncap. Its also the reason why many german models can't be sold here..... I have a Audi Q3 and that aluminum trim that he calls real is not real it's plastic and that handle is not aluminum either it's covered in some tin foil crap because it's coming off of my handle Audi doesn't do very well in their interiors My Honda interior held up way better than this Audi in my Honda was a 2014 and it still look brand new with my newer Audi it looks very outdated since it's deteriorating quickly and if you have dogs.

I found the GLB 2023 to be more luxurious than this one ($15k in options, which added leather interior, real wood touches on front doors and dash, the interior lighting combo, and the panoramic roof), and way more practical with a house power outlet, huge trunk, and a third row bench (paid $850 for that). So I went for that in a new lease (traded a 2021 RDX for it). I am pretty pleased so far.

As an owner of a 2022, stay away! No wireless charging, MMI is terrible, and “Audi Care” is non existent. Just took an BMW X1 for a test drive, it blows this away! I cant wait to trade and upgrade, happening soon. the Audi lacks features, no auto start, lots of wind noise. Not worth the money at all!

No heated seats or steering wheel? Is this an Audi or Toyota Corolla? This probably the blandest, dullest Audi I've even seen. I'm surprised they would even sell something like this in the U.S. It cheapens the brand.

Meanwhile, back in reality, electric vehicles are sold at a rate outpacing their production capacity. Only Tesla is cutting prices after a series of *spectacular* PR disasters and the subsequent devaluation of their stock. Hyundai/Kia, Toyota, Ford, Nissan, and the German brand electrics/plug-in hybrids are selling *well* above sticker; even after gas prices have largely normalized back down to their MSRP (excepting specialty/rare vehicles.)

My 2018 S4 with the V6T, 354HP, and 369 Lb-Ft and permanent Torsen AWD (vs slip-and-grip Haldex) and similar weight was rated at 30. It's, actually, shocking how poor the fuel mileage is for this. *Maybe* it's because it's rated using regular 87-grade fuel vs the S4 which requires 91 premium?

@@tim3172 1) its heavy but 2) your A4 engine is completely different engine than the one in Q3.......Q3 uses the golf R engine just detuned and it has no mild hybrid unlike the A3. Your A4 sits lower than a SUV you have better coefficients against drag. Second your A4 engine was built with a different bore and stroke.
