Fellow Vancouverite here! Love your channel by the way! Your video on the 2021 Q3 is what sold me to get one. I’m an owner of a 2022 Audi Q3 45 S-Line Technik in Daytona Gray colour with black optics & I just recently got it last May. Thankfully, I was able to get the side assist before Audi announced that it won’t be available due to chip shortages. Now, my previous car was a 2018 Audi S5 Coupe Technik and I loved that car but since the lease ended I gave that up for the Q3. I did consider a Q5 but the interior feels old compared to the Q3 interior. My early impressions so far is the Q3 is a fun car to drive. Good for city driving & very spacious for me and the value you get for the price is very good. I would recommend getting a 19 inch wheels instead of an optional 20 cause it feels more comfortable on the bumps. My cons so far is that even though it uses regular gas it’s still not good on the fuel economy unlike the other competitors. I do miss having a HUD like my previous car does cause it really helps me when driving. I would like to have ventilated seats also. All in all, I would recommend this car to people who are looking to get in a luxury brand for the first time.

The top feature my mom was looking for is ventilated front seats. She has hot flashes and we live in Texas. Unfortunately it was nearly impossible to find a car at all. We looked at the Lexus RX and NX and the GLC and a Land Rover. She didn’t even want to look at Audi bc she already had the Q3 and wanted something else. I finally convinced her to stop by Audi and she fell in love with the new Q3 with so many features. She is overall very satisfied.

I might typically comment on the insane pricing, as of late. But I believe that for a premium brand, this Audi is priced to perfection. It is an ideal size, has the upscale Audi quality & classic looks, has spectacular build quality and a proven power plant… it represents a great value. It does not surprise me the that it is a sales hit for them. I actually wonder if their biggest competition is Audi’s bigger brother (sister?) … the Q5. But perhaps thats another topic, another video. Thanks for revisiting this vehicle. Cheers!

q5 is still the more popular outgoing model for Audi. But Q3 is a baby Q5 which a lot like because its the right size like the Subaru crosstrek. Its bascially a lifted A3 but a bit more spacious. Same concept like crosstrek lifted impreza.

Great review! As an former owner of the pre-refreshed Q7 (2017), I can tell you the engine, however. is not that old (at least for the Q7). The prior to 2020, the Q7 was powered by a V6 engine that was Supercharged, not Turbocharged and was a older, yet very reliable design used on the cars like the S4. They changed to the Turbo engine because it better fit with its 48volt mild hybrid and also put it in line with the Q8 which has the same engine. Curiously, however, it gets worse gas mileage than the old engine, which gave 19 City and 25 highway, yet still offers the same 0-60 at 5.7 seconds. I still prefer the modernized interior of the refresh, however. I think that I'm saving for Porsche Macan next, now that I'm an empty nester. Love your reviews on the Porsches!

@andreaspencer98132 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and the kind words. The XC40 is a nice option, it has a smooth ride and a very quiet cabin, quieter than the Q3. It does have a higher seating position for the driver which is why it appeals to so many women, you look up and over the dash. Some who are quite tall find they don't have enough headroom so keep that in mind. Volvo interiors are quite beautiful and I like the use of Alcantara in them but I do worry about Volvo reliability. It is at the bottom of the list in the recent JD Power dependability study, I think most of that probably comes from the new google infotainment system, it's not the best, I much prefer this Q3's system. However, I feel this google system is better than the system Volvo used before.

Enjoyed your report. One thing. You comment on being able to use regular gas in the Q3. The owner's manual for the US version says that, yes, it will run on regular, but, to obtain advertised horsepower, you need to use 91aki/95RON, aka premium. It follows that using regular will force the engine management system to tune the engine so it will not only not deliver advertised horsepower, it may not deliver advertised fuel economy.

It says regular right on the filler door, as shown in the video.

@@Motormouth... Yes, Q3s in the US have a sticker on the fuel door saying 87 is the minimum as well. I can't find the owner's manuals on the Canadian Audi site. On the US site, the manuals are under Owner: Service & Parts. Page 206 for the case where the label on the fuel door says 87, the manual says "Audi recommends using premium gasoline with minimum 91AKI/95RON to achieve the rated horsepower and torque". For the case where the fuel door sticker says 91AKI/95RON, the manual says you can used 87, but engine power will be reduced, The bottom line, according to the manual, you can use 87 whether the sticker says 87 or 91, but performance will be reduced from what is advertised, vs using 91, in either case. As I can't verify what the Canadian manual says for the Q3, maybe a trip to the dealer that loaned the test car to you would be in order to see what the Canadian manual says?

This Q3 does NOT feel premium at all. Too much hard cheap plastic. Poor leather. Terrible speakers, and it is SUPER LOUD on the highway. Zac and Andrea did not mention this. To get the Sonos speakers, you need to buy the highest trim, at nearly 50K in the USA. Gas mileage is also poor as this is a heavier vehicle than all of its competitors. The Audi Q5 is a MUCH better vehicle if you want to shop the Audi brand for a bargain price. You can also use 87 octane regular gas on the Audi Q5 non turbo engine.
