WOW! This car is a track BEAST! So much so it was a little out of place on the street and I am OK with that. You will not confuse it with a boring commuter car. This is peak internal combustion engine here. 0 - 60 in 2.6 seconds, a10 second quarter mile all on pump gas. You also 670 HP with close to 20 MPH on the highway with a factory warranty and then there is that glorious sound. Again, WOW! This car is the stuff of dreams. I don't know what the future holds for cars but I am not taking for granted we have cars like this now. I hope to one day to have one and congrats to those who are able to own one now. Thanks again MotorWeek for the great video. With so much great info packed in under 7 minutes, and delivered with style BTW, there is a reason why MotorWeek top tier automotive journalism!

I had a 97 Corvette, I put 130,000 miles on it in 7 years. The only reason I sold is because at 77 years old it was hard to get out of it! I did all my own maintenance except for replacing the AC compressor. Here in Texas the compressor runs all the time I just wore it out. I’d like to try a new one but the wife just giggles when I mention it!!! Properly maintained a vette will last for years.

This car is the Chevy Corvette I have waited my whole life to own. The problem I'm having is trying to buy one. I've been dealing with an exceptionally honest dealer Aaron Miller, but the whole team is exceptional at ( Leach Wilson) in Shelbyville IL. They told me from day one that they would sell the car to me at sticker there . I've been waiting for 3 years now to get one. The dealerships have been gouging the customers, and Chevy hasn't been sending them anywhere but to a few chosen dealerships. Some of the people I know have decided not to buy one now. They moved off and bought Audi's or Porsche's. Chevrolet you need to try to get out to the other markets, I've been a Chevy guy, especially performance Chevy, since I was 17. ( I owned a 70 Chevelle SS 396) Now that I've raised my family and waited my whole life, I want the car of my dreams. Please get it to us Chevy purists!

Crazy watching the HIPO small block chevy v8s evolve over the years from 327 fuelie, to the LT5 zr1 engine to the LS6 350 or Direct injection LT1. To something like this is pretty amazing. To be able to have something like this in the market vs a hybrid/torque vectored NSX makes me wonder what theyll offer with the future racing-standard era NISMO GTR/homologation. Or if theyll be using a newer V8/32v in their race cars/z/sedans as well. Just another benchmark set from a production/value standpoint to track time ratio.

The E-Ray is a step ahead in its speed metrics As an owner of a C7 Z06 with a 7-speed manual, that would be the only C8 I'd consider AWD, a hybrid powertrain, a EV mode for quiet getaways, and elite performamce The only real flaw is the lack of center-mounted exhaust, like the C8 Z06, or C7 Z06

If anything happens to my C6Z, this is probably the direction I'd have to take. Truly a LeMans car for the street. For less than half what the Europeans would charge. Especially if one doesn't go gonzo with options. For me, the 1LZ is all I'd need. I'd save the Z07 and aero for those who will actually track it.

If only we could write in “Corvette Z06” on the ballot in November, then we’d really have something. Instead our choices are Hellcat literally on fire, vs non running Cadillac Cimarron with 3 flat tires.

Great work I understood the reference and that all makes pretty decent sense.

I'll take Hellcat all day long! Back when we had Hellcat, the world was more at peace and I actually had money in the bank. Now I have been working a lot more for less and am struggling to support my family. Under Cadillac Cimarron, all cars like this Z06 are threatened to be gone which is how we ended up in this position in the first place.

This is quite a machine. Very impressive on Chevrolets part. I don't care about the few flaws I've heard about, such as wide panel gaps. If able, I would still buy one.

The only knock that I’ve heard is about a little dull steering feedback. Small thing given it’s half the cost of its competitors.
