@@siphotheyise2954 great question! I think it boils down to one simple thing - Hyundai don’t market their cars well here in South Africa. Many people don’t know what alternatives there are and end up following the herd and buying the cars they know rather than trusting another brand. That’s why I make it my responsibility to make others see that there are alternatives, BETTER alternatives in some cases, that are out there. 🙏🏾

Funny thing is if you driving this on the road and a Golf GTI/R is around you and notices you, it is almost guaranteed the Golf will do a pull (full send) or revs. The other type of car that will do the same is Honda Type R

I30N is already 10x better than gti. It's just need awd and it'll be up there with golf r. I'd still go for this car over golf r even without awd. Wish we had them in US

I know there’s the i30N Performance which has slightly more power, but it’s still short of the Golf R and also doesn’t have the AWD system. But I know Hyundai is cooking something special to go against the R.

N division believes in their eLSD more than AWD system because in some countries they have Kona N-Line as AWD yet pure Kona N still comes with FWD plus eLSD only

I've watched hundreds of comparisons between the two and other N products like veloster N and elantra N when I was cross shopping. Elantra N manual outperform awd golf R on the track and it's $10K cheaper. It's in savageguesse video in case you don't believe me. So it's not just the power 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The i30N looks nicer from the outside but the GTI is more livable (more comfortable) and comes with adaptive cruise, electronic handbrake and better fuel economy.

That is very true! That is why VW has such a big following in SA. But there are newcomers and with the Mk8 being the last ever GTI/R, people will want other options so Hyundai/BMW/Honda have a great chance to make a statement. Their marketing is just so poor!

I feel you are a bit monotone when talking, would be nice if it was more authentic and fun. Like carwow, mat armstrong etc. Hyundai over a VW anyday! The marketing from Hyundai is poor though. Hyunda i30n vs BMW 128Ti though? I feel the BMW has the better interior, Hyundai has the better warranty though.

Thank you for the feedback! I’m still very new to KZbin and still finding my voice/personality, but I’m taking it one video at a time. 🙏🏾 I have to agree, the marketing is very poor from Hyundai. People don’t know they have another option when it comes to choosing a hothatch. Regarding the 128ti vs the i30N, I’d take the i30N. Slightly more power, and less complicated interior, bigger sunroof. But it all depends on what you’re looking for - a better looking interior or simpler interior and faster package. Can’t overlook the 7 year warranty either!

I wouldn't pick a Hyundai I30N over a GR Corolla or Civic Type R at that price point. The Golf R is much pricier and belongs to a higher category, and the GTI just doesn't have enough power. Although the I30N is aesthetically pleasing, it's not enough to sway someone with brand preferences like mine. 😅

GR Corolla is a 3 cylinder car so a no no for me, Type R also is a 4 seater car which is not that practical enough though it has power and handling like i30N.

The Type R is even more powerful with 228kW. While the Civic might only seat four, carrying five people in a performance car is rare, as the middle seat in hatchbacks is rarely practical. Additionally, the Type R's handling is significantly superior, and the GR Corolla benefits from AWD. I personally can't justify spending the amount required for a GR Corolla or Type R on a Hyundai, especially when considering heritage and reliability.

@@kratos9223Hyundai has the best warranty in the game🤷🏾‍♂️ also yes the type r makes more power but it gets dog walked bc of how good the dct trans it everytime even when modded it all comes down to personal preference, the gr will over heat it’s diff trying to keep up with any of its competitors on top of that it already coming out of the factory pushing over 20+ psi that’s a lot of stress on the engine imo I wouldn’t trust it, the type r is worth it if you can find it for the same price as the i30 but it’s not 10k better fl5 couldn’t even get half a second ahead of the slower manual Elantra N on savageese channel that’s pretty sad considering everyone boast about Hondas handling.

The VW R is a better car than this. Have driven both and tracked both on Nurburg. Golf definitely has the edge in all facets. Thats not to say the N is a sweet car.

The worst car brand, a total misunderstanding, badly fitted body parts, you can feel every little irregularity on these 19-inch rims, these are fleet cars and no one buys them unless someone is an idiot and on impulse, reselling such a brand is a huge price gap, no one buys it I do not recommend buying such plastic cars
