The fully electric #HyundaiIoniq5 has been a huge hit ever since it came out a couple years ago and for 2024, Hyundai's high-performance N division has created the #Ioniq5N and the result is a hot hatch that puts out 641 HP and is capable of 0-60 MPH in 3.2 secs. #Hyundai also made sure the #Ioniq5 is also capable on a track and not just quick in a straight line.

The front and rear of the IONIQ 5n have speakers that emit virtual exhaust sounds to the outside of the vehicle. The device produces a roar similar to that of a conventional internal combustion engine sports car. So the existing frunk was deleted and replaced with a sound generator part.

@@FutureDeltaPilot747 As of Jan 2024, I will have owned the VN for 2 years. It still puts a smile on my face. It's just a fun car. All of the customization settings, engine, transmission (I have the DCT), variable exhaust, suspension etc. It's really one of a kind. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the ones you mentioned. If you autocross, you'd probably be happier with the CTR (known to rotate better) or GR86/BRZ. If you're open to a sedan, I think the Elantra N (especially the refresh model) is a great option too.

So I like that it gives a loud nod to the Hyundai Excel of the 90's but honestly that's really where the thrills stop. I've seen both the ionic 5 and 6 plus the ev-6 out on the road where I was surprisingly underwhelmed! I guess that I was expecting more but maybe it's just too early in their initial inception to give such a firm judgment. But as it stands, aside from the excel callback and the electric range I'm just not overly impressed.

You can bet that frunks are going away pretty rapidly due to crash safety concerns. It makes sense, too; a car that has a 5 star frontal crash safety rating isn't anymore if someone is carrying their free weights set in the frunk for example. The EU is probably going to ban front trunks in the next few years, and once that happens they will pretty much disappear from all cars.

Not a big fan of the powder blue nor the red strip. Of course those thing are fine as long as they're a delete option. In any event 50-60k for a hatch/crossover Hyundai is a lot of money. Especially when you can get a whole lot more for less (minus the speed) in an ICE vehicle with zero range anxieties.
