Up Front Tax here in Texas is $2821. I was about to lease one until I saw the grand total due at signing of $7279🤔 The payment would be $343 with the same down payment. Does it still make sense to lease in this situation?
@ARIObeatsАй бұрын
You need to add the $7500 tax credit into your calculation. Tesla takes that and already applies that in the cost shown. So actual spend is much higher! If you decide to do a 24 months lease, you will need to wait another 12 months before being eligible for tax credit for people who are single filing.

Just returned the Tesla model y awd and rwd. Had them for the weekend to test drive. I don't think I will lease it cuz I just can't stomach paying for 2-3 just to give it back and have nothing to show for it. Plus I wouldn't be able to do any modifications to the car without having to have it removed or pay extra for it when I return it. I may end up financing it instead but will wait until December to see the new promotions.

Can you do the Long Range All Wheel Drive Model 3 and Model Y. I live in Massachusetts and all wheel drive is a must for the snow.
@RaviWadanАй бұрын
Absolutely! I will try to do the long range all-wheel-drive Tesla model three later this week. Stay tuned! Thank you for your support.

Ravi Do we first negotiate the out of the door price & drop the MSRP and then ask them to give us options for leasing and for purchasing? Assuming that the vehicle that we want is not advertised as a lease vehicle.

Hi Ravi. Absolutely love your channel. I always follow and learn from your content. Ravi, tesla just started doing 0% financing on the Model 3 that you talked about on this video. By any chance will you be able to do a "Lease vs Finance" video on that? This is a vehicle that many people including me are going to consider it in the next following months and making a good and logical decision is really important regarding the finances. As of now they're offering 0%/36 Mo, 0.99%/48 Mo, 1.99%/60 Mo, and so on on the Finance of model 3.

@@arsikhafan2913 that’s a great idea! Let me do some research and break it down for people who are considering both options 👌

Thank you for a great video but I would like to add a couple things. What about excessive wear and tear that you get charged at turn in? Tesla seems to be notious for this. Also even if you were to avoid those charges, you will probably need to replace the tires before turning in the lease. I think those costs should be factored in when comparing lease to buy.
@RaviWadanАй бұрын
@@danielcorbett2701 my dad returned his lease two years ago, and they didn’t even look at the car. It was more like a glance. And I’ve heard similar things from other people. And if you need to replace the tires, I would just buy lightly used ones on Facebook marketplace for a few hundred dollars - And I doubt the tires will need to be replaced. I’ve never had to replace the tires on any of my lease returns.
@danielcorbett2701Ай бұрын
@@RaviWadan that is good to know. I’ve watched horror stories here in YT about people getting really high bills after turning in Tesla leases. I’m back and forth between lease/buy because of the replacing tires before turn in issues. Will the tires on a Tesla still have the required trend after 36k miles?
@RaviWadanАй бұрын
@@danielcorbett2701 tires should be good. Go with the standard wheels - the tires last longer.

So $300 a month for how long? Is this really such a good deal? It’s a sunk cost.
@cruecu27 күн бұрын
The depreciation after 3 years is also a given. It's really bad right now on these models from 3 years ago and they are stacking up on the used market. That percent could be worse 3 years from now. You just don't know. If you want to keep your car longer than 3 years, you should buy it. But if it's 3 years only, there isn't much difference considering the lease amounts right now. It almost works out to the exact same as the current depreciation without the hassle and unknown of trying to sell it. To each their own.
