I really hope they work out a more elegant solution to the back. Having the remnants of the 3rd row configuration and this multi-step Frankensteined looking battery bank in the back is pretty inexcusable for a $70k car that's been in development from scratch for a decade. I really love this LC, but hoping if I wait a year or two they'll work out better solutions. I'd probably buy one either way, but really hope that gets sorted out.

Elephant in the room: you can get the GX premium for less than the Land Cruiser mid trim optioned to match the GX as best as possible and even then, the GX gives you the turbo V6 and a more luxury feel. In reference to your wish for the rear windshield wiper being hidden under the spoiler because of the way the glass hinges might be the reason why it’s located below instead. It may add too much bulk so close to the hinge point it may affect the balance. Or perhaps it’s more complicated to mount up there since there are two hinges, one for the glass and one for the hatch it just becomes either cost or packaging issue or both.

This isn't a real Land Cruiser. This is just a new FJ Cruiser. Europe and other regions get a real Landcruiser. It looks completely different.
@perfectlybalanced89957 ай бұрын
If you mean by real Land Cruiser as in the 300 series. No Europe does not get the 300 series and has the same SUV as us being simply called “Land Cruiser” Also I disagree with you fully. Sure this is the smaller Land Cruiser Prado instead of the Land Cruiser 300. But it’s hardly smaller when you compare both vehicles’ dimensions. Like the Land Cruiser 300 it has the same TNGA GA-F platform and many of its off road components. The vehicle has more torque than the 200 series which is more important for off roading than hp. Heck they even stated during the global unveiling of this vehicle that its off road prowess is on par with the 300 series. To me this is a fully fledged Land Cruiser and worthy successor to the 200 series here in the US. Also the FJ Cruiser while not being called “Land Cruiser” was still associated with the name paying an homage to the FJ40 Land Cruiser from the 60s. The vehicle is also based on measurements reasonably smaller than the Land Cruiser (Prado) which is shown in this video and you’re claiming as a new FJ Cruiser

@dhuntington60097 ай бұрын
Toyota made a fatal mistake pricing it so close to the GX. The GX has better engine, better warranty, better quality materials, 4 year warranty vs 3, and most Lexus dealers don’t charge over msrp. Plus the Lexus dealership experience is amazing and free car rentals. Go to a Toyota service center and your packed with other customers trying to drop off/pick up at the same times. It actually really sucks. The Toyota dealers have become so greedy that they will try to mark this up. So sick of their tactics 😢
