I'm not totally sold on Beck or Shadeur so I think a year tryout of those two isn't a bad idea and hey if it doesn't work out well probably still end up in a spot to take a rookie Q hopefully a better one. I'm 60 yrs old, life long Jets fan since 16 yrs old. I wanted Lamar Jackson over Rogers but was happy when we did get Rogers. But like I said I'm 60 yrs old had a Heart attack at 53 type 2 diabetic, relatively in good health with lots of care n meds. But I just can't wait any longer waiting for a winning Jets team. I want a team I can feel good cheering for and enjoy the wins and hopefully a SB. I like and kind of follow several teams including the Giants but it's now official with some pain at heart. I am now a Ravens fan. I moved to NC 9 yrs ago from Brooklyn and I love it here. Easy quiet safe living (even though I carry at all times.) So good bye NY Jets, thanks for the so many heart aches and very few wins. A new chapter...Hello Ravens.

Here's my proposal, sign Marcus Mariota to a 1 year 9m contact, he has much more experience and even if he isn't elite anymore he still brings a lot to the table for Travis to learn. Mariota has also shown that he is still solid with his backup performances and maybe we can end the bridge year with a winning record, since the money that would've been spent on rodgers could go to a solid kicker, or maybe improving our defense.

Let's try and build a better and younger roster then either draft a late round qb to develop this year with Travis . 2026 with better cap and a better draft class maybe look at a hi round qb or see if burrows shakes free from cincy

If Tyrod Taylor is the starter, the season will be over before it starts. Taylor hasn't done anything since he was with Buffalo and that was five teams ago and eight years, from 2025 to 2017 is a long time for any player, especially a QB. I want Quinn Ewers in the 2nd round or Carson Beck.

Tyrod and rookie is basically just saying rookie with a sideline mentor. Tyrod will last maybe 2 or 3 games and then be out for the season and be a mentor for the rookie so if you don't bring in the right rookie we are just looking at a total wash year or more. Tyrod is a good backup and spot starter but you don't want to rely on him for any length of time. The bridge will be awfully short. Maybe one over a stream.

Well Tyrod might be ready and better than Rodgers right now. Rodgers might be better next year. Achilles take two to three years to get better from. Rodgers does not run or move well, why? He used to. He was graceful, not fast but quick with a quick burst. Perfect to tip toe out of grasping tacklers hands. Now he is limping around getting taken down easy or just getting nailed a lot running a check down, short throw attack that does not work well enough to win. Typical Jets game is four yard passes. That causes the run game to be jammed and not work well with the defenders pushing your line backwards and you are trying to run into a pass rush that nothing has happened yet except you just got handed the ball and all those tacklers just got three yards closer to grabbing you. The defense not at all threatened by the deep ball, bunch up more and more as the game grows late. They only have to defend 15 yards, maybe 20 if it does not feel safe. The Jets just get bottled up sooner or later running a four yard passing game. Rodgers is getting beat up, he can’t get out of the way, no longer quick enough to escape so the ball is coming out fast. If Rodgers has anything left, next year he could be back and play well. Comeback player of the year candidate simply because that Achilles tendon is healed twice as much as this year, he won’t be next year what he is today, he will be better. Age is not in his favor. Next year is probably it for him, he will never have as good a chance again depending on factors like: What team he plays for, does he play for a real contender or does he sign with a mess just to have a team to play for, did he get his Achilles back and full quickness back or is he getting hit hard by clean shots, did he do the work or is he soft, can he regain his grace, dance his feet or is he slow, jerky or off balance, did he regain that just fast enough speed or is he a sitting duck, can he regain his arm strength and throw the deep ball again, can he throw it accurately? He has a chance to answer all of these depending solely on that Achilles being healed first. The Jets might want to do analytics on him now then in the spring test him again and see he has it back, his legs should be strong and ready to go, speed, quickness, arm zip, stamina. If he is the real package, bring him back cheap but fair if he hits incentives, a good but fair contract for both player and team that way. He stinks next year you cut him, no big loss. If he plays great he makes a ton of money and wins a lot of games and everyone is happy.

No, we don't need Winston, he would be a cancer in the locker room. 1st, how about a coaching staff that stays together to develop a young quarterback drafted. The Jets have destroyed young QB's, for example Darnell. Remember, Suck for Sam. Actually, if we can get a professional coaching staff together, they would be blessed to get him back. And most important, STOP getting players that have passed their prime. You are just dealing with injuries and egos. Player's need to gel and grow with time. STOP trying to win a Super Bowl just throwing players together. If you just let the young men grow as one and us fans knowing that they can be competitive every time they take the field instead of either not going to the game or just shutting off the T.V. disgusted. This is my quarterback plan for 2025: 1. Cut both Aaron Rodgers and Tyrod Taylor. 2. Sign either Jameis Winston or Carson Wentz to be the bridge quarterback. 3. Use are first round pick on Jalen Milroe and have him sit behind the either Winston or Wentz.
