I kind of like having a VLE/VLO in game, I'm used to bringing down the speed on approach before dropping the gear IRL, although if you are playing Picard, someone else will be doing that landing for you. 30ms is still over 60mph for when you are landing.

Excellent video, this is what a lot of people needed. I might have missed it but I went back over the video and couldn't find it, but the one thing that has changed that I keep doing wrong when on foot, is that the "C" key is now crouch and the L/CTRL key is now prone. I use the CTRL key a lot in the old builds because if you don't want to get blown over or knocked down crouching always works. Now I keep going prone because of muscle memory. I am still not used to it.

By the time the game actually goes live the Picard hairstyle will be the only one I can use as a reasonably accurate depiction of myself in game. I had a full head of hair when I backed in 2012 too... must be the stress of waiting for the game to release... yeah that's it ;)

What you call "the Picard", we called "the Atoll". They do need more hairs for older aged characters and NPCs, and I am sure they will get there.

I'm fairly sure CIG's art teams would love to add in hairstyles from other sci-fi stories, such as the Picard haircut or even perhaps the Mars Attacks! hairstyle (good luck wearing a helmet with that one). They have said they will be adding more hair styles and face scans into the future, so I expect there to be lots of good options as we get closer to SC 1.0.

Couldn’t they just have integrated scope finders into the hud to explain balancing snipers?? and make an aspect of fps gameplay theirs. Gamifying it and integrating it into star citizen in the process( two birds with one stone). Maybe a whitish glare and range alert if you face the direction of the scope would have been sufficient
