Whats up 2Laners! Come with us on another epic trip from SoCal, to Prescott Arizona, Sedona, and more! We had a blast on this trip and hope you guys enjoyed coming along with us!
Rides like this are our true passion, and if you’re new to this lifestyle, we hope you’re diggin’ it too! Theres just something about being on the open road, being prepared for any obstacles coming our way, and just seeing where the road takes us! This trip wasn’t as planned-out as some of the previous “long rides” but just going with the flow made it that much more enjoyable.
We sure are missing being able to visit places like these, but that’s not stopping us from getting a little fresh air on the open road locally when we can.
Stay safe...stay inspired!

As you probably already know, Quartzite AZ is just over the Colo. River from Blythe, truly a sight to see in the winter months, millions of people(snowbirds)flock to it, fun times to be had by all. Glamis is just to the south, a great ride through the dunes and up through the mountains or north to Needles Calif. or Parker Az. We lived in a little town 50 miles to the north called Vidal Junction, when our son was born, he made the town's population 18, you also get to Havasu Landing Resort & Casino (Calif. side of Lake Havasu) that way too.

Next time you go through Blythe, across the street from where you got gas, at the Circle K, inside can be found Lovekin Liquor and Deli. BEST Carnes Asada anywhere. Also carnes or pollo burritos if you don't have time to BBQ yourself. By the way, NEVER by gas in Blythe when its sometimes a dollar cheaper three miles east in Ehrenburg. Love the channel!

Earp, Calif is just north of Blythe, go east in Vidal Jct. on hwy 62 for about 15 miles, we lived there for years, I think part of his old cabin is still there, Gen Patton's mailbox is gone, it was in Vidal Jct. when we lived there as well.

I could always tell a visitor from a resident by the way they pronounced Prescott. It's the same with my hometown I live in now. It's spelled Hurricane, Utah but pronounced Hur uh cun. The gateway to Zion. My bike and I are fans of Zion Harley-Davidson. Great place; great people!

I sure enjoy your videos. It's Iike going along myself. My respect for stopping to see the memorial for the 19 Hotshots that were killed in 13. One lone survivor. Next time you're in Yarnell, stop and see the Catholic "Stations of the Cross." There aren't many around. As you are heading north through town, midway is "Shrine Road." Turn left about 4 city blocks. It's hand-built, worth the see even if you're not Catholic. I'm not but I stop every time I pass through. It's closed for now because of covid. And BTW, Prescott was the territorial capital of the Arizona Territory, before Arizona became a state in 1912. Prescott is also the home of the oldest rodeo. A Spanish word for round-up. And the territorial Capital building you stood in front of when you were on Whiskey Row heading in for dinner?? Well, just so you know, it's still against the law to ride your horse up the capital building steps. Yup!! Don't do it, you'll get arrested. When you left Prescott, headed toward Jerome, you crossed over Mingus Mountain. Some incredible curves and straight up and down mountains. And BTW, Jerome is considered "A Mile High City." Official elevation is just under, but it's so steep, it's given the title a mile high city. It was dubbed "The Wickedest Town in America" because of all the rowdy minors. In late 1800's, a bunch of locals rounded up 75 outlaw minors and sent them to California on a train. California intercepted the train and refused them entry. They were rerouted to Kingman AZ. In the late 1930's, there was an explosion underground and many of the mining tunnels collapsed. The town jail slid over 225 feet downhill, but stopped in totally in tack. It's still there, where it came to rest. Something about Sadona, it was named after the original postmaster's wife, Sadona. :-) I know I know, all dumb stuff. I live here, and know some dumb local history. But I sure love your videos. Well done, very classy and I love Lance's hat.

I forget to add that during the 2013 fire that killed the 19 Hotshots, that fire also swept over the Stations of the Cross in Yarnell, but didn't harm anything. Yup!! Spooky, ehh?? But true story. The fire just kinda went around it, over it, but doing no damage to it. I rode up there just to see it. Another interesting thing about the Yarnell Hill road you came up?? The road from Congress to Yarnell is considered the most dangerous road in Arizona per mile. Why?? Because of all the riders who think they are better than they are. They get racing up that hill, biff and go off the edge and become a fatality statistic. Its a long, rough ride down that few survive. Ride safe gents y Dios sea contigo. (And God be with you.)

NEw sub here. The only weather I dont ride in is thunder storms. And, well, snow here in New England. Regularly get caught in the rain though. Honestly, its not a big deal riding in the rain. You just slow down and pay a little more attention.
@2LaneLife
@2LaneLife 4 жыл бұрын
Exactly, as long as you're paying attention, the rain is no biggie. Snow..that could be a different story. Thanks for tuning in and for the sub, more vids coming soon!
